Ruellia tuberosa, known in Venezuela as La jaquita or yuquilla is a species of plant belonging to the Acanthaceae family. This is one of the various types of bells and colors that exist on Planet Earth. They are very common in the area where I live, so I have noticed that they open their petals early in the morning and close them in the afternoon, until the next day when the new process begins. It blooms almost all year round and is very common in Venezuela, México, Colombia, Perú, South America, Central America, etc.
It is used in Taiwan as an antioxidant.
