Tamarack AKA (Larix laricina)

Tamarack Trees are deciduous conifers commonly called American larch. They are native to the Northern Forests of North America. These trees turn spectacular colors of orange and yellow during autumn, before dropping their needles for the arrival of winter. These trees sprout a whole new set of needles in the following spring. One neat characteristic of Tamarack is the embers and streaming sparks created when placing a bough onto a camp fire. Please use caution as this should only be attempted in a safe environment, with low forest fire risk.
