Hello guys!!!
It's been a really long while I shared something in my sketchpad here due to certain unforseen circumstances in the last couple of months. It was a really challenging time for me though and I'm glad that I'm almost through the phase.
And that hopefully spark in my mind led me to pick up my pen and create this piece of a smiling youth
Title: A face of hope
Size: 12*12 (inch)
Medium: blue ballpen, glossy paper and HB pencil( I used that to sketch my reference)
Technique: scribbling, cross hatching and hatching
This is the first thing I've drawn in the last four months and I love the fact that regardless of the long period of inactivity, I'm still able to do something this nice.
From the sketch, you'd notice that there ain't no grid lines.. yh I'm trying to draw without depending on grid lines.. hopefully I'd get my proportions right on the long run without grid lines.
I mentioned scribbling in my techniques, yh.. that's how I came about the hair.. scribbled it to beauty.. tried to get it to look real.
Most of the skin was cross hatched.. I tried to be patient as possible so I could hatch through all the white spaces.. truely, patience is key.
And that's a wrap for today, I'm going to make sure you see more of my artworks more often on this space.. enjoy the rest of your day fam
Cheerio!!!
