On one of the days of our stay in St. Petersburg, we decided to go to the botanical garden. I would not have dared to go so far from the city center in search of this place if it were not for my sister, who has been here several times and knows the way well.
HELP FROM THE NETWORK: The Botanical Garden of the V.L. Komarov Botanical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Botanical Garden of the BIN RAS; former Imperial Botanical Garden) is one of the oldest botanical gardens in Russia, located on Aptekarsky Island in St. Petersburg. The Botanical Garden of Peter the Great is part of the structure of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The greenhouses, which occupy almost a hectare, grow more than 7.5 thousand plants, including many exotic ones from different parts of the planet. Mangoes, citrus fruits, feijoa, bananas, cocoa, flakurtia and other plants bear fruit here. Jasmine, palm trees, azaleas, irises, erica grow; epiphytes form hanging gardens.
Before I start reviewing the greenhouses and those amazing plants that grow there, I will tell you about the exhibition of lilies, and we got into it completely by accident. Right on the territory of the botanical garden, local workers put up lilies for sale. There were so many of them here that a separate post on this topic turned out.
I have never seen such a variety of these colors in my life as here. Their colors and shades were simply confusing with their beauty. The fragrance around was so strong that it was even difficult to breathe. If you close your eyes, you might think that you are on the territory of a perfume factory.
My sister even bought a few different lilies to plant in her garden later. If there was an opportunity, she would probably buy all the varieties of these flowers. I took all these pictures, trying not to miss anything. You can see for yourself how many beautiful flowers there were.
В один из дней своего пребывания в Петербурге, мы решили отправиться в ботанический сад. Я бы не решился отправиться так далеко от центра города на поиски этого места, если бы не моя сестра, которая бывала здесь несколько раз и хорошо знает дорогу.

Комарова РАН (Ботанический сад БИН РАН; бывший Императорский Ботанический сад) – один из старейших ботанических садов России, расположенный на Аптекарском острове в Санкт-Петербурге. Ботанический сад Петра Великого входит в структуру Российской академии наук. В оранжереях, занимающих почти гектар, произрастает более 7,5 тысяч растений, в числе которых немало экзотических из разных уголков планеты. Здесь плодоносят манго, цитрусовые, фейхоа, бананы, какао, флакуртия и другие растения. Растут жасмины, пальмы, азалии, ирисы, эрики; эпифиты образуют висячие сады.
Перед тем, как начать обзор оранжерей и тех удивительных растений, которые там произрастают, я расскажу о выставке лилий, а котрую мы попали совершенно случайно. Прямо на территории ботанического сада местные работники выставили на продажу лилии. Их здесь было так много, что получлся отдельный пост на эту тему.
Я никогда в жизни не видел такого многообразия этих цветов, как здесь. Их цвета и оттенки просто вводили в замешательство своей красотой. Аромат вокруг стоял такой сильный, что даже трудно было дышать. Если закрыть глаза, можно было подумать, будто находишься на территории парфюмерной фабрики.
Моя сестра даже купила несколько разных лилий, чтобы потом посадить их в своём саду. Если бы была возможность, она, наверное купила все сорта этих цветов. Я сделал все эти снимки, старась не пропустить ничего. Вы и сами можете видеть, насколько много красивых цветов там было.
