How to make a big canvas from scrap for simple painting.

This is going to be fun!

The method I used to create a big canvas for making large but simple paintings out of watercolor or poster colours can be done in two ways - like a professional or just for practicing.

I used old note books that no longer needed for any studying, but one can use original same sized reading books for the making of the book canvas so it will raise a more premium look.

Anyway first of all here is the Painting I made on the book canvas.

One more think is that I used only one colour which made it black and white look, but if you want to try this I would suggest using more colours.

Minimum materials I used

Cardboard sheet
Old note books
Gum
Poster colour - Black
Brushes
Pallate
Water

Art making process

Step.1 - Making the board

Here I used a lard cardboard sheet and placed the note books on it. Then I used the gum and fixed all the note books on the sheet surface as in the figure below. Let it for drying and my board is ready.

Step.2

As the board was large first I tried to locate the centre of it and then planned how I should make the basic sketch for the painting.

Step.3

Took the brush and with loose colour with minimum contrast I made the basic sketch of the reference on the board.

Step.4

Started basic shading the painting from the central part. It was important to use the water amount on the colours to get proper shades.

Step.5

I covered more area of the work with the colours and finished shading. The variations in the colours were made with having variations in mixing if water in the colours.

So that was my whole creation, I hope that was quite enjoyable And I had also took a selfie with my work
