A First-Time Experience in Islamabad: University Visit and City Exploration (Part 02)

I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their lives. As we concluded the previous post in the morning when we prayed the Fajr prayer. Immediately after the Fajr prayer we went out and changed our clothes after changing our clothes then we thought that Breakfast should be done first because after that we had no idea when we would be free and when our meal time would be. Islamabad was a new place for us we didn't know where there were hotels etc. We came out of the mosque and started looking around.

After walking about 400 to 500 meters, finally we saw a place where there were many hotels and among them, we went to a hotel called Bajaur Hotel. We went to this hotel and had our breakfast there.

We were two people, so my friend next to me used to say that I don't eat paratha in the morning because I don't have digestion. We ordered two naans for him and I ordered a paratha for myself. And together we ordered a gram and with that, we had breakfast there and after that, we ordered tea and drank tea.

Since we went from a hot area which is a plain area, we are residents of Sahiwal, so it was not too cold here at that time. At night it would even get a little chilly but still the fans were on and we could easily lie down inside. But we had no idea about the weather there, it was a hilly area where it was very cold. We went there without any jacket due to which we faced a lot of difficulties. Because we landed at night, it was very cold at that time and it was also very cold in the morning. After breakfast, we sat in the same hotel for about an hour because it was a hotel of Pathan people and there was also a place to lie down. My friend lay there feeling very cold.

It was very cold, so we waited there for the sun to come out so that as soon as the sun came out, the weather would be a little bit warmer and then we went out for our work. After waiting for a long time, finally, the sun came out and then we left the hotel.

From there we got the bike service because many services are running in big cities like Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi, and Multan which are online services. Even if you call them standing, they will come to you and take you to your destination. Their rent is also fixed online and they are paid accordingly. We took Bikeya service to reach our university.

We were not regular students of our university's main campus, so we had to identify ourselves there. We showed our ID card and student ID card of our sub-campus based on which we got a passing ID. Through this passing ID, we entered the university.

As soon as we entered the university, the university was quite large and spread out on a grand scale. We didn't know which office was in which place, so we asked the students there, but some students were new there and we contacted them, so they didn't know their offices very well. I knew. Then we took the information from the guard there and he directed us to the exact position as we were to go to our academic offices where we were to receive our final degrees.

As soon as we reached the academic office, there was a window in each office to answer questions. We went and stood there and got our information and there was written on the board all our methods by which we can get our final university degree. We read them first and followed them.

According to the information received from there we had to fill in a form and along with it, we had to take a voucher which we had to pay in the respective bank. After that we will resubmit it here after submission there will be a processing of about one or two hours after this processing we will get the degree. That's what we did, first, we got a form from a treasury office, and from there we got this bank voucher. Went and deposited that fee in the bank.

After depositing the fee, we took the voucher that had been paid attached our form, and submitted it to our account office. They told us that we would get this degree after about one to two hours so we were free during that time so we thought let's have fun.

Since we were visiting this main campus of the university for the first time, we thought of exploring it properly. Because we don't come here often, it is about nine to 10 hours away from us, which is a very long journey. So we went out to see the university, we saw the surrounding environment, students were coming and going and it was an open and spacious environment. The university was beautiful, the grounds, etc. were well laid out, the parking was paved, the roads were paved and all the facilities were there.

We went to the top floor of the building which houses the academic offices of the university where we had a full view of the university. When we climbed up there, we could see the mountains on one side which were quite far away and looked very beautiful. In the normal picture, they are not so clear but through the eye, they are very clear. They were coming and looking beautiful.

On the other side was our university, its entire view was visible with a lot of trees, which was proof of a green Pakistan. And on a third side, we could see our Rawalpindi International Stadium where international cricket matches are held.

And on the fourth side, we could see the metro bus stop which is a very good bus service here. The fee is very low and it covers a distance of about 25 km. You only have to buy a one-time ticket of Rs.60 and you can land wherever you want. This is a very good initiative taken by the government of Pakistan for the people.

Thus we chatted with many friends and also met the students there who were very hospitable. In this way, our time passed in our talks and it was about to be evening, so we reached the academic office straight away. From there we inquired about our degree, so they saw our ID cards and made us sign there. After signing, he handed over our degree to us.

We got that degree we had to pay for it because we are getting it urgently. Because we need it, if we had got it on convocation, we wouldn't have had to pay the fee. So we paid our fees here. As soon as we got the degree, we thought to get it verified from here because when we get it verified from HEC again, they will also ask for the verification of our university here. We also got it verified from here and along with it we also made our verification letter. To confirm that we have done it from our main campus.

During this time, we had enough time, we thought that we would go to the famous places here, but it was evening, so now if we go, where will we stay for the night? Because we have to go to Lahore the next day as well, from there we have to do the verification from HEC. We thought that here we skipped all these things.

We thought to try the famous places later we had our evening meal there. After having dinner we directly reached Faisal Maur bus terminal. From there we got two tickets and after getting the tickets we boarded the bus and went towards Lahore.
