What role does the teeth brushing play in the maintenance of our the health of our teeth?

Teeth brushing first of all has been a practice that started hundreds of years ago by different cultures all over the world. The primary reason why this practice was adopted or is adopted by many cultures is because there is usually a need to freshen up the mouth especially in the morning after waking up from bed. usually when we sleep there is condensation and fermentation of food remains found in our teeth and mouth. so it causes the mouth to develop unpleasant odors and smells and it also causes the tongue to develop a whitish layer of substance which isn't healthy enough for the month.

As a result of all this , the development of the brushing of teeth or mouth in general was adopted by man. it is very important to note that there has been an evolution or change from generations to generation as to how the mouth was maintained and Refreshed. In Africa where I come from, the indegeneous people use trees for teeth brushing and cleaning. Special trees such as the fresh guava branches are harvested and used for teeth brushing.

it is interesting to note that up till date some indegeneous people still use that as a way of teeth brushing. And after research I found out that it is still very effective except for the fact that it doesn't have all the necessary fragrance and spices used in making our modern day toothpaste.

So nowadays it is common to find the tooth brush and tooth paste as a regular means of brushing the teeth. And of course this is a more modern and better way of taking care of the teeth. it's more hygienic and reliable. we have various types and brands of tooth brushes and tooth pastes in the market to select from.

What do you prefer? Multiple times brushing or single time per day?

Well, personally I prefer twice a day that's in the morning and in the evening. this is because in the morning of course there Will be an unpleasant odor in the mouth and in the evening its because after the activities of the day one must have eaten and so there will be a need to remove the particles of food from in between your teeth before sleeping in other to avoid infection and bad mouth odor.

  • First of all make sure your tooth brush isn't too old. I believe that an average tooth brush should be replaced after 2months of usage.
  • Avoid any tooth paste that irritates the mouth or gum of the teeth.
  • Avoid tooth brushes that are too hard, this can cause irritations to the teeth gums and sometimes cause the flow out of blood.
  • Your tooth brush must be be kept very safe Frome the access of insects, children and dirty environments. it Should not be a tool for playing.
  • Make sure you use enough water to rinse your mouth after brushing. shake the mouth full of water thoroughly and spit it out.
  • Always try brushing up-down in-between the teeth. and also concentrate on brushing the tongue.

Do brushing really improve our smile?

hello my dear friend @newtonb

The purpose of keeping the teeth clean is to keep the harmful bacteria away from the coating of the teeth and in the space. Brush your teeth regularly twice in the morning or at night after eating every day. As a result, the tooth structure will be beautiful and strong and will be protected from harmful bacteria.Toothbrush should be changed every three months. If possible, the toothbrush can be changed beforehand.

Best regard @jannatmou

Yes dear friend!

Yoi got that right. Brushing frequently and correctly helps to remove bacteria and keeps the mouth and teeth refreshed always. And it is very important to brush twice a day in the morning and in the evening or before bed time.

This practice was adopted by many cultures because of the need To freshen the mouth, especially in the morning after waking up. When we sleep, food residue can condense and ferment In our teeth and mouth, causing an unpleasant odor and a whitish coating on the tongue.

The development of brushing teeth has evolved from generation To generation In how To maintain and freshen the mouth. For example, In Africa, indigenous peoples use trees To brush and floss their Teeth. They use fresh harvested guava branches as tools for Toothbrushes.
