Hello everyone,
It's your favorite Steemian @rakiya from Nigeria and I'm delighted to join in this contest organized by @hive-109435 in this noble community today. It's a wonderful contest and I love to share my participation in it.

What does Ramadan mean to you personally?

Ramadan means a period where the faithful fast, pray and do arms giving for a period of one month. This is a period set aside for all the faithful to examine themselves via pray, fasting and arms giving.

When you observe this period through the 3 listed criteria, you will notice that you are drawing closer to Allah and that is the main goal of Ramadan. So every Ramadan season aims at bringing people more close to God.

Ramadan to me is a period where we sit back and try to correct all the wrongs we have being doing i.e everything that is not pleasing to God. Since we are dedicated in fasting and prayer, we have the privilege to see the face of God better.

How do you prepare yourself spiritually and mentally for Ramadan?

To prepare for Ramadan all you need to do is to ensure that you set a goal or target which you wish to achieve during the holy month. This means you will have to plan on how you wish to carry out your prayer, how you wish to fast and how you wish to do your arms giving.

When you have all these planned or put in place, then it means you have prepared yourself spiritually and mentally for the holy month. This also means that you have made up your mind to live a better life because it is a period of change and during closer to God.

What are your goals or aspirations for self-improvement during Ramadan, and how do you plan to achieve them?

My goals and aspirations for self development include completing the fasting during the period, praying always and also giving arms to assist the less privileged. All of these and more are the main goals I have for this year's Ramadan.

I'm positive that if I should do all these things, I will be a better person before the end of the Holy month i.e the Ramadan season. So other goals include putting a smile in the faces of others and ensuring that they always remain happy.

I will ensure that I try as much as I can to ease the suffering of those around and also ensure that I make available some of the necessary things they need that I have at the moment.

I want to invite @lhorgic, @xkool24, and @josepha to join the contest also.
