Hello friends, I hope you are all well. I am also well because of the infinite mercy of God. Once again, I come to you to participate in this amazing topic of the first week of the Steemit Engagement Challenge. Through today's challenge, I will share with you about popularity.

It is rare to find a person who does not want to be popular because by being popular one can be the center of attention and talk of everyone. Who does not want to be popular when he is given more respect, which is highly valued by everyone. But the normal life of a popular person is not normal like others. So I think the lives of popular people are not as smooth and colorful as we think.

If I talk about myself, then I would like to be popular if the society and the country will be benefited by my being popular. I don't know if I can ever be popular or not but I want to be popular at least for one day to experience how it feels after being a popular person. If being popular means losing my normal and freedom life, I'd rather be normal.

Yes I think the way to become popular does matter. But not everyone can be popular. Although nowadays those who have a lot of fan followers or who can influence others more are considered popular. But many people adopt unhealthy ways to become popular for increasing their fan following. In such cases, the aim is only to gain popularity and not to achieve society's welfare.

But I think those who have done something special and contributed greatly to the welfare of people and society whose work people remember for ages are the real popular people. For example, our Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman who has made the biggest contribution in protecting the sovereignty and making our country independent, even after his death, he is still immortal in the hearts of all Bengali people and will remain most popular person of Bangali's forever.

All the people I have seen become popular the right way have one thing in common which is confidence and good humor. People who are kind to others tend to be more popular because people flock to the truly kind. Those who are passionate about their subject, whether today or tomorrow, they become popular among everyone because their passionateness creates positivity among others and others become their fans. And a man who always follows the righteous path and is completely honest with all others can gain the trust of all which helps him to become popular. Finally, along with all the other qualities, it is very necessary to be a good person to be popular, otherwise the popularity will not last long. So, I think all these qualities make a person popular.

Just like everything has its good and bad side, popularity also has it. We may look at the colorful side of the popular people and think that their lives are smooth but there are many difficulties in their popularity that we may not notice.

• The biggest advantage of being popular is that a lot of fame can be gained which increases social acceptance. A popular person is liked by everyone to hear and be around him which boosts his self-esteem and morale.

• Popularity largely leads to making a quick connection with more people, new opportunities are always there for him and it is convenient for him to take the lead in any field.

• By becoming popular, social work can also be done at the expansion stage. Everyone takes the words of a popular person positively, which affects the spread of any good message in the society. Moreover, being popular has many more advantages.

• The biggest disadvantage of being popular is that they don't have the same privacy as other normal people. Popular people are always in front of everyone for even the smallest issues which disturb their privacy and personal life.

• Being popular, just as people respect a lot, people have to criticize for small mistakes. Along with criticism, popular people have to deal with various negative issues.

• Moreover, popular people can't go anywhere anytime like other common people, they always have to take care of the security issue separately because along with popularity, enemies are also increasing.
