The name of Eid related to happiness. When I heard the name of Eid, A wave of happiness run in my body. Friend, in this contest I share my knowledge about Eid. I will try my best to explain it in easy way. Alhamdullah! I am doing well and wish that you will be same. I am very thankful to honourable organizer of this contest for providing me a chance to share my thoughts. I invite to all my steemit fellow to read my post and valuable comments. First I highlight the meaning of Eid.

Eid

The word Eid means a lot of happiness and joy. Eid is a special event which is celebrate by all Muslims with great zeal. It is the tume of big celebration when Muslims gather to share to the happiness, pray, delicious food and spend time with friends and family. The Muslims have two Eids in a year. First Eid ul Fitr, it comes after Ramadan and second is Eid ul Adha.

What's the difference between Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha?

Eid ul Fitr
Eid ul Fitr is the event of making the Fast. After the completion of the holy month of Ramadan. It is the month in which Muslims make fast. Eid ul Fitr celebrate fist of Shawwal. Eid ul Fitr having joyful dinners with our beloved people. Elder give Eidi to youngers in the form of money. All members of family together and having meal happily. On the time of Eid ul Fitr we the Muslims focus on gratitude, joy and spiritual regenrate after completing the month of Ramadan. Eid ul Fitr also called meethi Eid.

Eid ul Adha
Eid ul Adha is the festival of sacrificing of different animals. It is celebrate for remembrance of Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) offering his son Hazrat Ismaeel(A.S) as a sacrifice to obey the command to Allah Almighty. Eid ul Adha consists of sharing the sacrificed animal, for example a camel, sheep, goat or cow etc with our beloved and the needy people. Eid ul Adha celebrated on the 10th Zihajj according to Islamic lunar calendar. Eid ul Adha called namkeen Eid.

How does Eid help unite our community?

Eid help us to unite our community by sharing celebrate, doing act of kindness, performing Eid prayer, cultural exchange, sharing happiness, making different food and inviting and visiting to relatives, friends, family, neighbours and our beloved people.

• Eid brings together at the time of celebrate common religious traditions, foster a sense of belonging and unity among Muslims.

• Prayer help to unite our community.
  On Eid we the Muslims sharing traditional foods, clothing and customs to unite our community.
• Eid is a time for families and friends to gather, reconnect and make strong relationships.
  Eid serves as a powerful force for uniting the Muslim community through shared traditions, acts of kindness, spiritual practices, cultural exchange, and social connections.
