Hello everyone. Good morning and assalam o alaikum. I am good, Alhamdulillah, and I hope you all are doing well and enjoying your lives. Today is Monday, and I'm off from school. All the schools are off due to winter vacations. There's so much smog and fog. And these things affect breath. It is very dangerous for health and breathing. Anyway, today is off, and we enjoy the holidays. Start a day with a cup of tea.
Today I decided to make halwa puri for breakfast. This is a very lengthy procedure, but we have to do it for a delicious breakfast. So I go to the kitchen with my mother. My mother is an expert in cooking. So I just help her in the kitchen.First of all, we take all-purpose flour. Then i add two teaspoons of oil. And one pinch of baking soda. Then mix well in hot water.
Now this material is almost ready. Mix it for 5 minutes until this mixture is ready. Now give it a rest for 30 minutes. This rest is very necessary. This rest turned the mixture into a very good texture that I need. So that's why it is necessary for this recipe.
Now I take some oil in a pan. When the oil is hot enough, then add the suji to it. Roast it very well. Fry it until its color changes. After 5-10 minutes, its color changes from white to light brown. Now add sugar to it. Sugar is according to taste. We like sweats. So our quantity of sugar is so high. After adding sugar, again roast it.
Now it's enough. Add 3 glasses of water in this. Soaked this water. After 10 minutes, all the water is dry. Add some dried fruits. Pudding always increases the taste.
Now the halwa is ready. I want to add a small pinch of artificial color. This turns the halwa a yellow color. But let's just forget this. But now White Halwa is ready to eat.
Now take the mixture of all-purpose flour. Divide it into small pieces. Then on a rolling pin, I make flatbread (roti). This is the most difficult part of this recipe.because this mixture has a creamy texture. Because when I started to make this, all is paste on the rolling pin. It takes some time. I make flatbread (puri) for all family members. Now finally this work is complete.
Again I take some oil. When the oil is hot enough, then put one puri in the oil. I'm just two minutes away from being ready. Then all put one by one.
On the other side, my mother made split black chickpeas (chana ki daal). It is a very easy recipe. First boil the pulses very well. Then make a mixture of spices, ginger, tomatoes, onion, etc. Fry this mixture in oil, then add all the spices to it. After frying, add the boiled pulses. This dish is ready now. It is a necessary part of halwa puri. Now it is almost ready to eat.
I served the whole family. Then I made plates for myself. It is just amazing. It is tastier than my expectations. I really enjoyed the breakfast. This breakfast is totally traditional. The taste and smell are just perfect. My whole family likes this breakfast. This recipe has a lot of taste, but the other side is that this is a very heavy breakfast. So eat according to your health.
