Introduction
My middle school days is a time in my life I'd not forget in a hurry, if I eventually forget it. From some of the teachers I had to the friends i made, they were all so good to me. But since we're talking about our teachers, I'd rather go straight to doing that. What is your favourite teacher's name? What was his/her subject?
They were actually two, but I'd talk about just one of them. His name is Mr. Joseph Ornguga. He was a youth corper when I was in SS2. How I admired that man! For the first time in the history of my secondary school i loved Mathematics. Mr. Ornguga taught us Mathematics. I began to like Maths from that level. He made sure to give us classwork everyday to make us understand a given subject everyday. Why is he/she your favourite one?
He was my favourite teacher because he was and is a principled and good teacher. There are teachers who do not care if a student is following what he/she is teaching or not, But Mr. Ornguga was exceptional. He tried his possible best to see that all the students understood him. He even pointed out our mistakes to us, and go as far as inviting us to the staff room to explain what we might nit have understood. No other teacher in my school did that. Also, he was very friendly. Mathematics teachers mostly appear to be rude and harsh to people. But on the contrary, he was very friendly and mild.Tell us about his or her behaviour with students.
He was simple. Simplicity is a value, a virtue and an achievement. As intelligent as Mr. Ornguga, he was never proud. Among his corp members, I think he was the simplest. He always wore a nice smile, and would even be the first to greet a student id the student failed to do that before he got to. He also inculcated in the habit of honesty. He made it easy for students to tell the truth when they did nit do their assignments on their own. He never flogged, but disciplined with his words. This and more were his behaviour with students.A message for him/her.
If i could have you as a teacher again, I wouldn't hesitate to be your student once more. You made so many students that thought they couldn't do it achieve something. All the way from a quiet student to one of the competitors in Maths class, you made me. I appreciate your efforts. You went out your way way to serve not just because it was an obligation for you then, but because you saw beyond that to moulding generations for good.Thank you now and always, Mr. Ornguga.
Would like to invite @okere-blessing, @spanky-dollar and @bela90 to partake in this contest.
