Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim.
Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wabarkatuhu.
Dear friends, I hope that at the beginning of Ramadan, you are well, by the grace of God. Today I am asking what each of us should do in the month of Ramadan And I would like to share with you some words about what is forbidden and how this Ramadan helps us to purify ourselves and gain before Allah.Welcome to this post and congratulations to all of you.
One of the do's and virtues of Ramadan and a means of self-purification,
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, and it is a significant period for Muslims worldwide. During this month, Muslims fast from dawn until sunset, abstaining from food, drink, and other physical needs. The fast is one of the five pillars of Islam, and it is mandatory for all adult Muslims who are physically able to observe it. Ramadan is not only about abstaining from food and drink, but it is also a time for spiritual reflection, self-purification, and good deeds.
One of the do's and virtues of Ramadan is to give charity. In Islam, charity is one of the most significant acts of worship, and it is considered a means of purifying one's wealth and soul. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Charity extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire." [Tirmidhi]
Giving charity during Ramadan is highly encouraged, and it is considered more virtuous than giving charity at any other time of the year. The rewards for giving charity during Ramadan are multiplied, and it is believed that even a small act of kindness can have a significant impact. In fact, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "A man's charity given in Ramadan is equal to the charity given by seventy men in other months." [Ibn Khuzaymah]
Muslims are encouraged to give generously during Ramadan, whether it is through giving money, food, clothing, or other forms of aid. Charity can be given to individuals in need, charitable organizations, or other institutions that provide humanitarian aid. The goal of giving charity is not only to help those in need but also to purify one's own soul and seek the pleasure of Allah.
Another virtue of Ramadan is to read the Quran. The Quran is the holy book of Islam, and it is believed to be the word of Allah revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) over a period of 23 years. Muslims believe that the Quran contains the guidance for all aspects of life, and it is a source of inspiration, wisdom, and spiritual nourishment. Reading the Quran during Ramadan is highly encouraged, and it is believed that doing so can bring numerous benefits, both in this life and in the hereafter.
Reading the Quran during Ramadan is not only about reciting the words, but it is also about understanding and reflecting upon its teachings. Muslims are encouraged to ponder over the meaning of the Quranic verses, to seek guidance from Allah, and to apply its teachings in their daily lives. The Quran contains numerous stories of the prophets and the righteous, and it provides guidance on various aspects of life, including spirituality, morality, ethics, and social justice.
Another virtue of Ramadan is to perform voluntary prayers. In addition to the mandatory five daily prayers, Muslims are encouraged to perform voluntary prayers, especially during Ramadan. The most significant voluntary prayer during Ramadan is Taraweeh, which is performed after the Isha prayer. Taraweeh consists of 20 rak'ahs (units of prayer), and it is usually led by a designated imam. Performing Taraweeh is highly recommended, and it is believed that doing so can bring numerous benefits, including spiritual purification, forgiveness of sins, and increased closeness to Allah.
Voluntary prayers can also be performed throughout the day and night, and they can take various forms, including the Sunnah prayers, the nafl prayers, and the Witr prayer. Muslims are encouraged to perform voluntary prayers with sincerity and devotion, seeking the pleasure of Allah and hoping for His rewards.
Finally, one of the most important do's of Ramadan is to seek forgiveness. Ramadan is a time for self-reflection, and it provides an opportunity for Muslims to repent for their sins and seek forgiveness from Allah. The Prophet Muhammad (
