YOGA CHANGES HEALTH AT THE GENETIC LEVEL!
Relatively recently, scientists from Norway conducted an experiment in which they wanted to identify the benefits of yoga on the human body. It turned out that the practice has a serious therapeutic effect on the body at the molecular level.
And the processes of renewal of the body are launched almost from the first day of classes, about what writes and online magazine PLOS ONE.
The first research results were published 5 years ago, and even then it was noted the long-term effect at the genetic level, which has a positive impact on rejuvenation and recovery of the body as a whole.
An experiment was conducted at the University of Oslo in which participants took a week-long course of yoga classes at a yoga therapy center. For the first 2 days the participants spent 2 hours each on a program of a complex nature, which included both breathing practices, asanas and meditation. The next 2 days, the same time was spent walking in nature and listening to jazz or classical music.
It turned out that walking in nature and listening to classical music changed the quality characteristics for 38 genes in these immune cells.
In comparison, a similar period of yoga classes resulted in changes in 111 genes.
Walking in nature has a very positive effect on our well-being, but yoga can have a much greater effect on the path to health!
