Today is a good day so I will share one of a food that recently gain some popularity. Anyway sorry to start before my regular introduction here: Welcome to my Food Diary blog on Steemit. Everyday I am sharing my food log here as my diary of what I have eaten today.
The food I am sharing today is Somay, or some people call this Somay Bandung. Somay is actually not an Indonesian native food, it is an adapted food from Chinese cuisine, which the original name is Shumay. Maybe a Cantonese cuisine is more precise, and it is a dumpling.
Recently Indonesian Somay gained popularity and now it became the top 10 dumpling all over the world. You might get many reference about this from google, just go with the keyword indonesia somay dumpling.
I had no time for lunch today so I bought and brought back a Somay from a local outlet. You can see a couple of plastic bag there, I bought those not only for me but to share with other family member.
This is the somay I have been talking about. It is a mix dimsum and we eat that with some peanut sauce. I had some cabbage, tofu, potato and bitter melon there but those peanut sauce covered them all so you won't notice them from the picture.
