Hello there
I think once a while doing a bit different than I use to do should be an interesting one, so today I won't share you guys about my lunch or my dinner. What I will share today was snacks I had from my coffee break this noon.
We call this as Mendoan, Mendoan means half cooked. It is a half cooked tempeh (soy cake), so we fry the tempeh but it is still wet and soggy, not a full dried crispy one.
Recently my young people prefer to have this mendoan cooked until it becomes fully well fried crisp. Well that's not a mendoan anyway but let them say it is Mendoan. The important thing is that they love the soy cake they eat, isn't it?
There are plenty of way to eat mendoan. I usually eat them by holding them with my hand, so no knife and fork here. But today I prefer to have some extra soy sauce and some Cayenne pepper. We get the sweet and spicy all mix together. I am a bit weird actually, because most people will go with one way only, either sweet or purely hot and spicy.
But it's my taste and my preference anyway.
