Rudbeckia Goldkvelle is a long-flowering and reaching a very high height ornamental plant.
We call these flowers "Golden Ball" and I only recently learned their real name. Rudbeckia has many species, but I especially like this one for its beauty and unpretentiousness.
It turns out that we plant the plant once and for life. It does not require special care, but it needs support, because the wind can tilt its stems with heavy double flowers.
My flowers grow behind raspberry bushes and always feel good. I did not install additional pergolas for them and never tied them up, but sometimes I cut the extra and heaviest ones into bouquets that decorate my house.
I like these flowers in all phases of their development: from buds to wilting. They are always beautiful, even when they lose their petals. Recently I found out that this plant is not only decorative, but also healing. It can be used to treat various diseases
The plant is valued for its ability to provide immunostimulating, antiseptic, antispasmodic properties.
The therapeutic effect of rudbeckia is due to its biologically active substances. First of all, these are the coumarins scopoletin and umbelliferon. Scopoletin has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic effects. Umbelliferon is found in many plants and is the basis for the synthesis of a variety of biologically active substances. Its main action is antispasmodic. Caffeic acid has strong antibacterial properties
Soon my flowers will bloom again and put their golden balls on raspberry leaves. It will again look like this photo taken last year.
