First ao all I would like to congratulate @dasudi and @lirvic to be selected as teaching team so Steemit Learning Challenge Season 21 would be interesting to learn about new. Today I'm here to be a part of this amazing contest "SEC21W1 Basic concepts and utensils for baking.".
I have read the lecture carefully and learn some new terminology about baking and going to answers given by teacher.
After reading the basic terms of baking, I mentioned at least three basic terms used in baking that were not included in the list.
Baking is an art and world of baking have many things . Your lecture gives alot of explanation about many terms used in baking. I'm sharing these three that are not mentioned in lesson.
Dusting :
Lightly sprinkle of powder like sugar ,flour and coco powder during baking is termed as Dusting. Its ised for different purposes during baking. Dusting of flour on pan is used to avoid sticking of baking material. After baking , Dusting of sugar and coco powder give it finished touch.
It is done by using fine stevie to make light ,delicate and attractive layer.
Blind baking :
Baking a pie crust or tart shell with out filling is termed as Blind baking. It is used to make fully crisp shell to avoid soggy bottom. Or this method is used when filling has less cook time or we have no baking filling or creamy fillings.
Frosting :
Its simply any sweet and creamy topping for baking goods. Frosting is used to give decorative finish to cakes, desserts and cookies. It also add flavor and moisture to baking goods.
We can make different types of frosting by adding different types of creams and suger like butter cream frosting, whipped cream frosting, ganash , cheese cream , fondant . These frosting can be used on your choice and what kind of dessert you are making.
✓ From the list of basic utensils mentioned, can you tell us which ones you have at home? Did I mention at least three utensils that you consider essential for baking and that you don't have at home? Share with us images of the utensils you have .
For perfect baking, baking utensils ate very essential. I don't have all above mentioned baking utensils at home but many baking utensils that are essential i have at home. Im sharing three basic tools that help me in baking.
Electricmixer
It is very important in baking specially for frosting and decorating dessert. It help to mixed all all ingredients perfectly in short time. Mixing is very important, if ingredients dont mixed well we don't get good baking result. I have badic Electric mixer with 4 different rods to mixed different ingredients. I used it mostly when i make frosting , to whipped the cream for any dessert, for ice-cream making or cofee making.
Molds /cookies cutter
Cookies cutter are of different shapes, very helpful in making cookies of same size and shape. I have cutters made up of plastic and metal. Both work same effectively. Both are low priced too. As i was beginner so I bought low priced utensils. But they are perfectly used since 3-4 years . If you buy good quality utensils they will be used fr many years.
Oven
For baking oven is very essential.
There different was by using them we can do baking. I have gas oven which really helps me in baking. Temperature controlling is main tip to make perfect baking goods and oven help to acquire same temperature.
Utensils that don'thave
I have many utensils that i don't have but i want to share these
1- Thermometer, that will help me to check the temperature of oven.
2- cake molds that can be opened, so cold dessert can be shaped easily.
3- Scraper, it will help to scrap the dough, cit the dough

For baking, in my opinion tools paly vital role so making perfect goods you need all essential tools , obviously techniques and experience always give shine to your talent.but for baking without tools you can't make perfect baking goods still you have experience and techniques.
It is my experience, when i used to make baking goods without tools ,it didn't give good results.
