Last time, when I made a visit to a Art Gallery, I am influneced with a particular display of art piece, and it also attracted me everyone attention too. It was the display of Art in middle of a big hall well cordened off.
I missed to figured out the purpose of this set-up earlier. I made my second visit to the same place, in search of getting a clue. And this time I break it through. Thanks to few of the official gentleman who made it possible in letting me know about it.
The displayed art at one corner of the big building says “Silent Sermon" . The set up represents a huge Buddhist Begging Bowl at center with hundreds of miniature Buddhist monks rushing around it.
From a distant, the little miniature is hard to recognise, it is only when you look them very sharply then you find the human face on them. All made of metal body and shining as well.
My be it resemble the four teaching of Buddhism which say:
existence is suffering ( dukhka ); suffering has a cause, namely craving and attachment ( trishna ); there is a cessation of suffering, which is nirvana ; and there is a path to the cessation of suffering, the eightfold path of right views, right resolve, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right concentration
Setting up such a big bowl right at one corner of the Art gallery, is quite amazing. The place is quite spacious with proper fencing around. No one is allowed to get a closer view. It was kind of 3-D set up and the sun rays falling on them is impecable.
The thing is attractive that I made to click from top as well, to give a decent and full view of the begging bowl.
The curiosity to know more about in my first visit led me to my second visit a few month ago and hopefully I understand the hidden message delivered through it.
Stay Calm....Saty Safe !!
