On this occasion I will tell you a film that is quite old, but seems interesting for me to tell. This film, which was released in 2001, seems to cure my longing for a leader who is truly populist, clean, realistic, and has a sincere work ethic.
This film is about a television news cameraman who accidentally witnesses a prime minister's crime, when he is covering a riot and then because of the harsh criticism he gave to the Prime Minister he is surprisingly challenged to occupy the seat of the Prime Minister for 24 hours. .
Can a cameraman who is an ordinary citizen be able to lead a country and change many things in 24 hours? Okay, without further ado, let's get straight to the story.
THE BEGINNING OF THE STORY.
Pajero is a cameraman at a television station named, he is often called Syifa. His father's name is Ladusing, he is a caricature who really wants Syifa to become a politician, but Syifa herself doesn't like politics because she thinks politics is trash. Rini is a mother who is very proud of her son's work as a television crew.
Long story short, Syifa, Tompi and Urmila were assigned to cover the activities of the Prime Minister named Barlan Kauhan, he was a prime minister who served at the time and under his leadership the bureaucracy was not running well and corruption occurred in all sectors of his government.
Barlan Kauhan and his ministers at that time controlled the area arbitrarily, Barlan Kauhan had a secretary named Bansal. He is a very good person, but is forced to follow the wishes of the Prime Minister even though it is against his conscience.
YOU ARE DOING VIOLENCE.
Suddenly, the true nature of Prime Minister Kauhan began to be shown, where when a person grabbed a handshake with him he accidentally injured a citizen's hand. Kauhan was then detained by several bodyguards but after getting into the car, he allowed the person to come to him and then opened the window and instead broke the person's hand.
Even in other villages, Syifa and her friends continued to follow and record the activity, in front of the Kauhan community asking the contractor when the lights and street lighting would be installed. Then the contractor said that the street lights had been installed since a year ago, but suddenly a woman denied it because all this was installed yesterday and has not been electrified, the woman's name is Manjari.
Then Kauhan had to order the contractor to immediately supply the village with electricity, but behind his back, Kauhan told his minister to decide again in the next two days as an exporter because it was known that the electricity would be used by the contractor to supply his sugar company. The contractor turned out to be one of the biggest donors of funds during the campaign in the last election.
COMPETITION BETWEEN BUS DRIVER & STUDENTS.
The next story moved where a group of students were seen waiting for public transportation and running after it, because the bus they were waiting for didn't want to stop, finally at a red light they managed to get on the bus and a commotion broke out between a student and the driver.
Until finally the bus driver pushed the student to fall and caused injuries to his head, because of the incident the students who were there were angry and wanted to judge the bus driver, but he immediately ran and asked for help from other passing bus drivers.
So that chaos ensued and by chance Shiva, who was there with his best friend Tompi, immediately captured the moment, the commotion became wider and the crowds gathered were getting busier and resulted in a very long traffic jam. The police commissioner who was already there was also unable to quell the commotion, until finally the police commissioner tried to contact Prime Minister Kauhan to ask for permission to take action and arrest the warring parties.
On the other hand, Kauhan who received a call from the police commissioner instead of giving permission, he ordered the police to remain silent, because he did not want one of the conflicting parties to be harmed. Where the public transportation belongs to the party, while students are part of its supporters, if one of them is harmed then during the election it will have an impact on his voice in the upcoming election.
Syifa managed to capture every important moment of the incident, the secretary of the Bansal minister tried to give advice to Kauhan but he didn't want to listen to it and said let them talk to each other attack and loot, once tired they will stop by themselves.
SYIFA HELPING STUDENTS.
Syifa saw one of the students lying down, she tried to provide help by carrying him to the nearest hospital, until in the end the young man could be saved. It turned out that Syifa's heroic actions were immortalized by her best friend Tompi, so that her actions became viral news and became available throughout the country which earned her an award from the Prime Minister.
Seeing the news, many people began to fall in love with Syifa and thanks to this incident, finally Syifa, who was a cameraman, was later appointed as a senior journalist at her place of work. On the other hand, Syifa, who had recorded Manjari, always remembered her. Syifa returned to meet Manjari and slowly their relationship grew closer, until finally she decided to marry Manjari, but was rejected by Manjari's parents. This is because he only wants to marry off his daughter to a civil servant.
SYIFA INTERVIEWS THE PRIME MINISTER.
Syifa was called by the editor-in-chief, informing her that at this time she had made an exclusive program to be broadcast live and for the first broadcast. The guest he will be interviewing is the Prime Minister, hearing this he was very surprised because he had never done a live interview before.
Moreover, what will be interviewed at this time is a Prime Minister so he feels nervous, but the editor-in-chief managed to convince him so that the moment he was waiting for
arrive. Syifa still looks nervous and continues to learn to speak in front of a mirror, finally the Prime Minister arrives and the broadcast begins.
Syifa opened the event confidently, then Syifa immediately gave
the first question that asks about campaign promises that will help the community solve
the problem, but only ends
with disappointment.
Kauhan replied that nowadays every family has a television at home and every village has a satellite dish, telephone and
internet even everyone has
vehicles and wearing shoes that
good, even ate good food at McDonald's and many other things.
However, Syifa denied this, saying that farmers currently do not get two meals a day, let alone eat delicious food like at McDonald's. No one uses a vehicle, they work under the hot sun, the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer and many of them have to beg on the side of the road.
However, Kauhan said that since his leadership, state revenue had even increased to 60%, then Syifa also agreed and named two regions whose income had also increased by 90%.
Then along with this, Syifa also said that crime was also increasing, everything that was explained by Kauhan was then clarified again by Syifa. It seems that Kauhan's character is correct with all the available concrete data, then Syifa said from all of this that the income of people in the villages is still very small, only 3,634.
Kauhan then said that Syifa should bring evidence first. Surprisingly, Syifa took out several valid reports that she had collected and studied, then said that the loans that the World Bank had given to the Kauhan government did not reach the people, but all of them were eaten by the ministers who caused the World Bank to refuse loans from their countries.
Then Kauhan argued by saying that under the current conditions the World Bank was indeed embargoing the states, Syifa answered what kind of conditions...? Then Kauhan said he didn't need to explain it to Syifa, he would just explain it to the people. Then Syifa said please just say it here because people are watching you right now, but Kauhan instead says this is very complicated to explain.
The questions continued, Syifa asked Kauhan's background before he became a Prime Minister, Kauhan replied that before he was just a farmer. Next, Syifa asks how much salary you will receive every month, Kauhan replies that he receives eighteen thousand every month, here Syifa critically says how can a prime minister who only has that much income be able to own a property worth 5 billion.
Hearing this, Kauhan was very surprised, he said if you want to know where it came from, please take the case to court. It didn't stop there, then Syifa showed a recording where when there was a riot a while ago, a bus driver said he would not be touched because he was an employee of a transportation owned by the ruling party, then a recording was also shown when Kauhan told the police commissioner not to do whatever resulted in billions of property being burned down and several people injured or even killed because of his orders.
An emotional Kauhan says that these are all groundless accusations, Kauhan starts to panic and can't say anything. Then Kauhan's men ordered to immediately turn off the camera, then one of his ministers began to act anarchic and ordered the entire crew to stop broadcasting, without realizing that everything he was doing was seen live by all the people who were watching at that time.
Then one of the crew told him that this was a live broadcast and everyone was watching what was going on, at once the minister finally let his emotions down and then asked his friends to get out of there. When Kauhan was about to leave the broadcast room, Syifa stopped him and asked Kauhan to explain everything to the public before he left, then made an alibi that the voice of the person in the recording was not him but only someone claiming to be him and even accusing Syifa of being a party. the opposition who deliberately wanted to attack him.
Very annoyed, Kauhan then challenges Syifa to become prime minister for one day, so that she knows how difficult the bureaucracy in a government is. Hearing this, Syifa, who looked calm, was suddenly surprised and nervous and took a tissue to wipe the sweat on her forehead, but because of the pressure given by Kauhan, Syifa finally accepted the challenge.
Finally, Syifa was willing to become prime minister for one day, instantly it became an extraordinary event and all the people who watched were tensed and cheered to hear it. The annoyed Kauhan then immediately left the broadcast room which was followed by the rest of his staff.
SYIFA BECOME A PRIME MINISTER ONE DAY.
The next day Kauhan submitted his resignation letter as well as a letter signed by all members of parliament that made Syifa the legitimate prime minister for one day, not wasting time Syifa immediately asked Banta's secretary to immediately gather the heads of the administration department at this time.
Without introduction, Syifa immediately stated the three main points that made their country poor, all department heads were ordered to collect all complaints from the public so far regarding the incompetent performance of the officials. All the names had to be gathered on her desk within an hour, never give up and ask what all the names were for and then Syifa said she would fire them all.
Then Syifa went to slum housing, she no longer wanted to see slum housing in her country because every community should be assisted by the government to have a more decent house. On a working visit there, he fired a developer who was caught embezzling housing that should have been given to the community and instead distributed it to government employees, so that out of the 1600 units that reached the community, only 20 units.
It wasn't until there that it turned out that the 20 houses that had been given to the community turned out to be houses that were also rented back to other people because she didn't have a job, this made Syifa angry and then went straight to the housing to then evict the tenants.
Next, Syifa inspected the traditional market and found a fraud committed by a trader. She then revoked the person's trading license. Through the media, Syifa also provided a public complaint number which was opened for one hour and was immediately handled by herself.
The first caller complained about the slow handling of a doctor at a hospital which resulted in his child's condition getting worse, Syifa then asked to be connected with an employee and then sent a fax to dismiss the doctor and asked the secretary to find a substitute doctor to treat the child.
Another caller complained that the police at his residence had not responded to their report since a month ago, regarding the loss of their motorbike. Immediately, Syifa contacted the police station after confirming the situation and the police's attitude, and the police officer was fired.
Next is a group of thugs who always harass women on campus, but the police just silence them. Considering this a serious problem, Syifa then went to the campus, when she arrived there was a woman who had been injured as a result of the riots carried out by several thugs.
It turned out that this was because the police did not dare touch the head of the thug because of his cruelty and his very strong relationship with the government, besides that he also did not get permission from the police commissioner who was also there. Then both were fired and Syifa went straight to the residence of a thug named Ray, then after going through the fight he was caught and then secured by the police.
After all that, Syifa returned to her presidential building and found that all the files she had asked the head of the government agency had piled up on her desk, then she ordered the secretary to fire 45,500 people whose names were there.
Before her term of office ended, Syifa headed to the residence of former Prime Minister Kauhan, where she arrested 12 ministers for corruption, but it didn't stop there. Syifa finally ordered the police to catch the root of all the problems.
In the end, Kauhan was arrested and taken to the police station and Syifa's assignment as Prime Minister one day ended by solving many of the country's problems which had not been able to be resolved by the prime minister of Kauhan.
But unfortunately, because his term of office was only for one day, Prime Minister Kauhan returned to his position, then on the way back Syifa was confronted by several thugs and an Indian-style battle ensued which ended in the Prime Minister's near death one day.
Luckily he survived and managed to escape, apparently a shop keeper recognized him and he looked very happy now that Syifa was in front of him, then he called everyone because Syifa was seen wallowing in mud, one of the people immediately cleaned it with milk.
The next day Syifa was about to meet her lover Manjari, she also met a group of farmers there. They were then very happy to meet Syifa and they gave some of their produce as an expression of gratitude because thanks to Syifa, farmers now no longer have to deal with middlemen who always push prices down.
They can now directly sell their work to the government and get a bigger profit, Manjari her lover looks sad as the people also want to give something to Syifa as a thank you, but she has nothing, it is wise to please and make her lover understand that having that love and trust was more than anything he wanted.
The story moved in the television office where Syifa worked, the television station was destroyed by some of the Prime's orders. The Minister of Kauhan, who did not accept it, had been humiliated by Syifa. All the rooms were shattered and they beat Syifa until she was unconscious. At her house, Syifa's mother and father were seen complaining about the water and their telephone lines being unusable because they suddenly died, while in the neighbor's house the water was flowing as usual.
Not long after, an officer from the local government arrived with a warrant to demolish their house, because the building had violated the rules. Yes, it seems that this is just a trick of the Prime Minister Kauhan who has returned to power, this is a picture of the reality that occurs in many countries where a person in power can do whatever he wants, often they are also immune to the law and again the proverb of the law sharp down and blunt up are shown here.
Syifa, who returned home after being treated, found her mother and father in a shattered condition. Syifa then asked her father to bring her mother inside so she could calm down, meanwhile Syifa plans to report Prime Minister Kauhan's actions to the police and wants to settle the case. this through the courts.
However, his intention was prevented by Bansal's secretary who was seen there, Bansal said what Syifa did would only end up becoming a pile of dusty complaints and would never be followed up.
The best way to end all this chaos is for Syifa to run for prime minister again in the upcoming election, but Syifa refuses because she has never been interested in politics, heard Syifa's answer then Bansal left her.
The next morning Bansal was already at Syifa's house with dozens of journalists and thousands of people who wanted to support her to run for prime minister in the upcoming election, apparently Bansal had not given up hope to convince Syifa to want to run for Prime Minister
and realize the hopes of the entire community in the country, there are also many party leaders who also want to take the opportunity to invite Shifa to join their coalition. But with the determination of Syifa, he rejected all the offers and preferred to follow the selection of candidates for state officials, with a sense of frustration and anger Bansa then brought Syifa to follow him so that he could see how much hope out there awaits his presence.
The presence of a long -awaited leader, the presence of a leader who would change their destiny, had long since lost their faith until the figure of Shifa appeared giving them hope. Without being asked they were present here, to wait for a new prime minister who would lead them to a better future, until they arrived in front of a little boy who begged Shifa and gave him a garland of flowers.
Finally, with full confidence, Shifa was determined to run for minister and was greeted with joy by the entire community there, then he formed a party to smooth his step to the helm. The country's highest leadership and finally managed to get the most majority vote.
Kauhan, who did not accept his defeat, resorted to various ways to shake Syifa's leadership, ranging from spreading terror to carrying out bombing attempts in various areas that could eventually be thwarted. Until finally Syifa also had to lose both his parents due to a bomb planted in their house, which in the end Syifa called the former Prime Minister Kauhan to the Presidential Palace and made a bit of drama.
The drama that eventually made Kauhan have to be paralyzed by a police officer there, Kauhan eventually died because he was shot by a police officer.
