A lot of people are talking about how Solar PV panels and wind turbines are a scam. That they are not the green energy that is being sold.
Further many people are talking about nuclear as a reliable, easy, safe, inexpensive energy source. The most expensive, most dangerous, most destructive way to boil water is good?
What is interesting is that i have seen no one talk about alternative continuous, non-polluting, energy sources. They were in all the Popular Science and Popular Mechanics magazines back in the 70s and 80s. But today, no one mentions them.
In fact, the hardest regulated industries don't even exist. The alternative energies need govern-cement approval to even attempt. And, it is often set up where you have to give your "experiment" to a university, and they will do the tests.
I swear there is less regulation on playing with nuclear energy.
Real Solar
Our solar photovoltaic panels are getting better, so they say. And they are, but not anywhere close to what they were doing in the 70s.
Focussing sunlight, boiling water and using that to spin a turbine is much more efficient. The light focussing panels are cheaper per square foot, and much more rugged. One could even make a fresnel lens to focus the light. As cheap as a sheet of Plexiglass.
The downside is you need a boiler, expansion chamber and a steam engine or turbine. However, these are all quite easy to produce, and there were many produced before PV panels. The only upside for PV panels are that they are so easy. Just plug them together and they work. Just need to clean them off every once in a while.
And this is the old technology. There will come very interesting arrays that create electricity. Like bolting a piece of Plexiglass, a sheet of copper, and a piece of styrofoam together. The trouble here is frequency. But that problem will be solved.
Geothermal Energy
When thinking of this, people think about drilling a well five miles deep, so that they can boil water. Drilling below 3 miles becomes increasingly dangerous.
Or they think about using hot spots like Yellowstone. (The govern-cement won't let you do any geothermal experiments near that place. Whatcha gonna do? Such all the heat out of the area, and the geysers stop working?)
All of this can be solved by drilling a mere 3 miles down. The average length of an oil well. At which the temperatures can boil Triflouro-trichloro-ethane (a refrigerant) and run a steam engine or turbine.
Once you drill the well, you will have, pretty much, continuous power, rain or shine, summer or winter, storm or not. This will probably create enough electricity for a small community.
I am not the first one to think of this, so why aren't we seeing any of these being built?
Magnet motors
Most people do not realize, or even acknowledge that we have things that continuously spin powered by magnets. Most people are indoctrinated to believe that there is no perpetual motion machines, because of the "laws of thermodynamics" and other bullshit taught in school.
That magnet on your refrigerator is doing work constantly, continuously. If it was not, it would fall off the fridge onto the floor.
Since a magnet is doing work, it is just a matter of alignments to be worked out to have a motor spin powered by just magnets. And people have done that. It is only a matter of engineering now. Making it spin something useful.
However, do you hear of any large corporation having a magnet motors development department? Any breakthroughs announced on CNN? No, all you hear about is how it is impossible. Although you can go online and watch videos of these working, or learn to build one yourself.
These will power much of the world in the near future, and instead, all we see is water bottles strapped to bicycle wheels. (which run down when their initial inertia runs out. If not, you would see them start spinning by themselves. However, someone may work it out so they do spin forever. Water has unusual properties.)
Wave energy
We could power coastal cities by building a large paddle wheel. Stick it in the ocean, and the waves come crash into it, continually spinning it. However, this things is not allowed to even be talked about.
- first layer, Green Peace comes and says you are destroying the beauty of the coast
- second layer, experts say that it will have environmental impacts.
- third layer, people, fine people, will come and persuade you that you aught not do this. Your funding will magically disappear
- forth layer, laws and legal battles will be brought against you.
This has happened for people trying to build trash burning electrical plants. It will happen for building a big Ferris wheel sized thing on the coast.
People are trying to build things around the regulations. Small, inconspicuous, underwater… all of them are not efficient, because they are being hamstrung from the size and location that is best for power.
So, basically, we need a big movement of people to scare the power companies (mobsters) and the congress (gangsters) into going along with building this project. The power is right there. It is so sad that California doesn't get started immediately on this.
There is lots of continuous, non-polluting energy sources available.
Unfortunately we are limited to the least efficient, and most expensive ones. Such as wind power. Most wind turbines will never pay for themselves. They literally cost more than they will ever produce (in all metrics).
How dare they push "green energy" when they deny us continuous, non-polluting energy!
The "green energy" movement is a scam, and is just a thinly veiled way to control energy.
Not only is our science wrong, not allowing us to see the incredible abundance of energy,
but we have a powerful group of people who want to maintain control over that power at any price.
