Hello fellow steemians, I deem it a great pleasure to share with you one of the cultural foods in Ghana*. Which in the western part of Africa.
Thanks to @hive-111293 for this great opportunity. Kudos to you and all the admins of #steem-travellers.
In Ghana we have a lot of local foods like; Tuo Zaafi(T.Z), Fufu, Akyeke, and Bayer3 Ampesie. But for the sake of this contest I will be taking on Bayer3 Amoesie.
It’s a local food widely known in Ghana, it’s commonly called boiled yam in English, cause the translation will be difficult.
It is prepared by getting a yam and cutting it into pieces or into smaller size. You will put it in a silver or pot, poor water into it and add salt, then you place it on fire.
After 30-40 minutes, it will be cooked. You then drain or poor the water out living the yam in the pot.
You the prepare stew, or use any sauce you have with fish, chicken, eggs or anything you have to take it.
You can now serve the food for eating. But you need to remove the back of the yam or you can peel it before cooking it.
That’s how we prepare bayer3 ampesie. Thanks for the time and attention, I really appreciate.
I invite @med.habib and @wanchan to participate in this contest.
Ghana has a very interesting traditional cuisine.
