Army has been deployed in Mirsrai of Chittagong, Burichong of Comilla, Akhaura of Brahmanbaria, Shaistaganj of Habiganj and Kulaura of Moulvibazar for the rescue operations of flood victims. Soldiers of Bangladesh Army's 17th Infantry Division, 24th Infantry Division and 33rd Infantry Division are helping to evacuate the waterlogged people to safe places. In addition, five medical teams of the army have been deployed in Feni, Chittagong, Moulvibazar and Habiganj for assistance.
The army has so far rescued around 6,000 flood-affected people and sent them to various shelters. Besides, relief and food are being distributed among the flood victims.
