Hello everyone, Best regards to all of you.

In this post, I again took advantage of the illuminated Atlas, because I have failed to do it several times, even though I have followed the usage guide. This is a fun thing to share, as a way to introduce many places to all users, and it might be useful later. So that this application gives a good overview to all users, to get to know and know the unique and important places in the world.

North Aceh Regency and Lhokseumawe City in Aceh province, Indonesia. Two regions were once a combination of 2 regions, namely North Aceh Regency. All the infrastructure owned by North Aceh Regency then was spread in various northern areas of Aceh province, some of which were in Lhokseumawe, now a municipality and separate from North Aceh Regency. Even Lhokseuamawe City became the capital of North Aceh Regency.

As an area in Aceh province that is quite large, North Aceh Regency has several transportation infrastructures that are accessible to the community in carrying out activities both inside and outside the region. The people of Lhokseumawe City are currently still utilizing the transportation infrastructure owned by North Aceh Regency. One of them is the airport, which is located in an area under the supervision of the North Aceh Regency government.

The airport is named Malikussaleh Airport, which is located on Jalan Airport Malikussaleh, Pinto Makmur, Kecamatan. Muara Batu, North Aceh Regency.

Malikussaleh Airport is operated by Pertamina/PT Angkasa Pura II, under the supervision of the Department of Transportation and North Aceh Regency government. The airport is one of eleven airports owned by the province of Aceh and is the only one in the North Aceh region and its surroundings as air transportation access. The flight code from and outside the Regency / City at this airport still uses the LSW code as the Lhokesumawe city code.

A few months ago for the needs of my wife's external service, I took her to the Air Band, the departure destination was Lhokseumawe-Jakarta. Flights are still dominated by Inter-Provincial flight routes, and the route is the Lhokseumawe - Medan route, and the farthest flight route is Malaysia.

As the only air access for the people of Lhokseumawe City and North Aceh Regency, the existence of this airport is vital for people who have high mobility with all their busy lives and routines.

In the history of its existence, Malikussaleh Airport, located in North Aceh, was established in 1973 by the largest company that existed at that time, namely PT Pertamina Arun Natural Gas Liquefaction (NGL) which is a subsidiary of PT Pertamina. Initially functioned to transport the employees of PT Pertamina, thus facilitating the distribution of the needs of workers in the company.

Only recently, in the largest sporting event in Indonesia and Aceh province happened to be the host, then this airport functioned as one of the venues for paragliding and Paramotor sports at the XXI Aceh-North Sumatra National Sports Week (PON) 2024. So I also had the opportunity to watch with my students who came from the MIN 4 Primary School in Lhokseumawe city, an interesting experience.
