Greetings to you all and welcome to my post. In view to the post made by @ubongudofot in regards to a live broadcast on radio 📻 AKBC 90.5 Uyo which I was a listener, am here to share my experience on the program.
I saw a steemit visionary bringing to the notice of the society this amazing platform (STEEMIT), so I said to myself kesybliss why not participate by listening to a steemian promote this unique platform.
Introduction
Apart from Steemit being a social media platform, it has also become a central point where passionate individuals can carryout Grassroots-led projects, with the purpose of imparting and supporting others voluntarily.
Such a project was discussed in a radio broadcast on Sunday 14th of April 2024 hosted by a passionate and visionary steemian @ubongudofot using the "Steem Lighting Africa Project", and "Steem electrical" to advertise/publicise Steemit to the citizens of Akwaibom State.
How I attended
I tuned to the radio frequency 90.5 on my phone while i was boarding a bus to meeting (Christian meeting). At exactly 1:30 pm (Nigerian time) the radio presenter of the program "The Academy" (in person of Aniediongo Osoro) hosted @ubongudofot and the broadcast kick started with some introduction at about 1:40. After some minutes I paused to attend meeting, though it was painful 😟😟 because the broadcast was interesting.

After some minutes I paused to attend meeting, though it was painful 😟😟 because the broadcast was interesting and i was so happy to listen to a Steemian advertising Steemit on my state's radio station. But after the meeting I later listened to the recorded version on Facebook.
What was discussed
The presenter started by asking what Technical training means to the host and he said that "technical training is all about solving technical issues or the process of solving some technical issues, because technical issues is actually a problem and so solving it is where the technicality comes in". "He went on to say that it has to do with our hard work and the brain and that children should be able to grow up with this mentality and that it is not just reading alone, they have to do something with their hands".
Which this is what should be inculcated into our young generations, so that they can start at a young age and have a mindset of creating jobs and opportunities and not seeking for white-collar jobs that are not in existence or guaranteed.
What drives the Host into Technical training
In his words he said and i quote "The thing is, if you have a problem, what you should be looking at is finding the solution.
So one of the problems that we are having here has to do with the computer, most student doesn't have this computer knowledge. It could be lack of electricity in their schools.
So because of that they're not being exposed to some training like that and so I was actually thinking what can I actually do to solve this problem and so I decided to go into that to make more research. Go for some training that of course was sponsored and also think of starting up something that can handle this problem".
And that was what brought to the birth of "Steem electrical"
About "Steem electrical"
Steem electrical is a business setup that deals with the selling and installation of electricals (mainly solar) to help solve the issue of electricity in Nigeria and some other African countries.
So with this business being setup, he thought of giving back to the society by organising a technical training to high school students and that gave birth to "Steem Lighting Africa Project."
What "Steem Lighting Africa Project is all about"
The "Steem Lighting Africa Project" is a project that aimed to inculcate Technical skills to our young generations through solar installation and training in school in Nigeria.
With them having the knowledge of fixing or putting together the components and installing, they can pick that as a career, train others, and also volunteer to install these in schools too. And all this are sponsored by: "steem electrical"
"Steem Lighting Africa Project" Achievements
This passionate project so far has been carried out in five (5) different schools in Nigeria. Which means it has impacted thousands of young minds a handwork and to be independent.
My Conclusion
On this radio broadcast, I have come to know that all the donations done by "Steem Lighting Africa Project" are all charities and are sponsored by steem electrical. Am speechless 🙊, this is a clear definition of giving back to the society and it calls for support.
And I have learnt that I can also promote Steemit by doing good (charity) in my little way by solving some common problems faced by people around me and beyond.
I appreciate you @ubongudofot and all the supports, steem electrical for the charity and humanitarian service rendered to our children and also making "Steem Lighting Africa Project" achieve it's purpose. Thanks and more blessings comes to you all.
