Who is a Good Samaritan?

A good Samaritan is a person who always extend helping hands to those who are in need at anytime, whether it is convenient for them or not. It could either be financial, emotional, phycologiacal support or other wise.

A person who is referred to as a good Samaritan is someone who is so generous, compassionate, selfless, kind, and treat people with so much empathy.

When last did you help someone and what did you help the person with?

The last time I helped someone was two days back.

I got a phone call from one of my friends who needed my assistance (Financial) three days back. The company which he applied for job last two months called him and asked him to come for interview urgently... And as at when they called him, he was so broke that he needed someone to help him with transportation fare.

He requested for ten thousand naira but I decided to send him twelve thousand naira so he won't run out of cash. He leaves at lafia and the interview venue was Abuja. So instead of sending him the exact amount he requested for, I decided to add two thousand naira to the amount He requested.

Why did you help this person? How much did it cost you?

I helped this person because he is one of the friends I have presently, that I can always count on each time I am stranded or desperately in need. I can vividly remember how he showed up for me when I needed someone to lean my shoulders on, I cannot repay him for all that he has done for me in this life. So I saw this time as an opportunity to show him back little love, out of the numerous love he has shown me.

As I have mentioned earlier, it cost me just twelve thousand naira to extend helping hands to my beloved friend. Though He requested for ten thousand naira, but I decided to add two thousand naira to the amount He requested because, I was pretty sure that the amount He requested won't be enough for Him.

What benefits did you derive by offering help?

There are a lot of benefits I derived from offering help to others, some of these benefits includes;

• Each time I help someone,, others in turn often turn up for me in ways I least expect.

• Our relationship was strengthened just by that singler act of help I rendered.

• I gained self confidence and my self esteem was rebuilt.

• I had this feeling of satisfaction and I felt accomplished after offering the help.

This and many more are the benefits I derived by offering help!
