In terms of care and quality, what are the main differences between pubic and private hospitals?

Hospital can simply be referred to as a healthcare center where treatment are being administered to patients. Things that are done in the hospital includes,,, Medical treatment, tests, surgery, and scanning etc.

When it comes to care and quality between private and public hospitals, it usually differs in so many ways;

Public hospitals care

Most of the public hospitals usually give their patients less attention and care compare with that of the private hospitals.

Most atimes, you will find out that in public hospitals, their treatment are mostly less expensive than that of the private hospitals or even free in some cases, but then their patients usually experience delays when it comes to treatment.

Private hospitals care

Private hospitals bills are often more higher than that of the public hospitals, but the good thing is, when it comes to care, their patients usually enjoy personalized care and delays in treatment are not mostly found in private hospitals.

Private hospitals hardly lack modern facilities and equipment, and they often have less patients and qualified staff who gives their patients good treatment with lot of care and attention.

The differences in terms of quality

Private hospitals usually make their patients more comfortable and they also make provision of amenities for their patient. Whereas, the public hospitals are the opposite of this.

Private hospitals often have more qualified and specialized staff than the public hospitals, making the private hospitals treatment far better than that of the public hospitals.

Private hospitals are more likely to have international accreditation than most of the public hospitals and the equipment and facilities used for treatment in private hospitals, is often better than that of the public hospitals.

In your country, how the cost of treatment is different from private and public hospitals?

Talking about the cost of treatment between the private hospitals and public hospitals in my country, it really differs.

The private hospitals cost of treatment is often more higher than that of the public hospitals. Infact you cannot even compare the costs of private hospitals with public hospitals because, the private hospitals costs are mostly double of the public hospitals costs.

There are some surgeries and treatment of some specific diseases that the government can decide to make it free for their patients but you cannot find that in the private hospitals. In essence,, the public hospitals costs is is lower than the private hospitals.

Which type of hospital do you prefer for regular check-ups, and why?

I personally, prefer the private hospitals for regular check-ups than the public hospitals. Here are my reasons,,,

1. Private hospitals often have enough staff who are available to attend to their patients without delays.

2. Private hospitals treatment and care is usually more specialized than that of the public hospitals. And booking of medical appointment is more easier with the private hospitals.

3. Personalized attention and care is enhanced in the private hospitals because, they usually have less patients, reducing the wait time of the patients.

4. The facilities and equipment used in the private hospitals are usually modern, clean and highly maintained making it comfortable for both the staff and patients.

Have you ever been hospitalized? How was your experience?

Yes I have been hospitalized on several occasions, both in private and public hospitals in my country.

The experience I had in the private hospital was better than the one I had in the public hospital when I was hospitalized.

I was treated with so much care and attention, the environment was more conducive and infact even their toilet and bathroom are always clean. The medical doctors who usually come for ward round, the lab scientists who conducted tests, the nurses that were administering treatment and taking care of the patients, and even the cleaners were all friendly, amazing, dedicated to their duties and passionate about their job.

I love the experience I had in the private hospital, it was awesome.

Even though the private hospitals costs is often higher than that of the public hospitals, I will recommend private hospitals for emergency case, because of the less wait time and the good treatment you get in the private hospitals.
