What's the latest good news in your family?

The latest good news in my family is that my uncle has proposed to marry his girlfriend whom they have been dating for two and a half years. My uncle is almost up to 42 years and being alone has been a stigma in the family.

My uncle is a shoemaker and I am an apprentice in his workshop, everybody has been teasing him to get married, and all that he will always say is that, he is waiting for the right time(God's time is the best) That is his answer. So last week Thursday he proposed to his girlfriend in front of the family.

And the girl said yes to him and everybody in the family was happy for him, so we celebrated it, in a very cold way.

The bad news that hit my family so hard was the demise of my junior sister last year which was on the 3rd of Jun, 2023. My sister was suffering from cancer that made her head seal up, we followed it with treatment and spent a lot of money but at long last we still lost her.

Her death was a big blow to the family because all the members of the house pulled their resources to make sure that my sister survived but to no avail. But we appreciate God because he alone is the giver and taker of life, his decision no man can question.

Tell us about your favorite relative Why is he/she your favorite?

My favorite relative is my uncle, I grew up in his hand because my father is late so I see him as my father and he is not yet married. I so much love my uncle, because he treats me as a father, he always sacrifices for my progress, and he is my mother's junior brother.

He studied electrical engineering at the polytechnic, but he only did ND as he did not continue with his education, and supported me to finish my studies. Right now he is a shoemaker and I am one of his apprentices, he is very good to me, and that is why I am working so hard and praying for God to give me very good work so that I can be able to help him too.

Describe Steemit as one family in two paragraphs.

Steemit is a great family that loves its members before I joined Steemit I thought it was like another platform that discriminates and is only concerned with those who have been in it for a long, it was so hard for my mentor to convince me to join. But when I joined I saw for myself that it is a family that welcomes and interacts with its newly registered members.

That is why my mentor will stay in my memory forever, for bringing me to a family that loves and cares for me, and I am learning every day as I write and also read other people's posts. Steemit is my source of happiness now for it makes me achieve one of my dreams of making friends within and outside the country.
