Good day guys!!
This is another wonderful contest hosted by @saintkelvin and he’s giving us the opportunity to talk more on how we take pictures on steemit post. I know for those of us who are camera shy like me, this is the best chance to say your experience… lol
Before going ahead, let me use the opportunity to invite some steemian friends of mine; @blessingogah-1, @nesydahlia and @emmy01 to participate in this contest.
what is the name of your phone? Is the camera making you happy or not? |

The name of the phone i use is IPhone XS Max with IOS Version of 16.2. I have been using this phone since November 2021. Is my first using iPhone. I actually bought it because of the plenty hype surrounding it. But with the experience I’ve now, I will say android phone is far better in terms of flexibility but iPhone is too rigid. Even to share ordinary videos, iPhones still select phones to share the videos with.
But in terms of camera, iPhone is the best. The quality of my camera is next to none. Sometimes I wonder how the camera quality of other higher iPhone will be like. I remember using Samsung Galaxy s6 edge. The camera was clear when I bought it, over the years, the camera quality started fading, it got to a point, I started using perfume and spirit to clean the lens of the camera but it was still same issue. I later found out that it was normal with Samsungs. I can’t tell if it’s the same challenge with other high quality Samsung. With the iPhone camera, I can zoom to a large extent and the picture will still look very clear. So, I’m proud of their picture quality.
Explain to us how you normally take pictures for steemit posts. |

As much as I love good pictures, i am not a fan of taking pictures all the time. I only take pictures on special occasions. I’ve been on Facebook since 2011 but the pictures I have over there isn’t up to 200. I only take pictures on special occasions. Sometimes, even the special occasions, I forget to take it.
Then steemit now came along, to move me from camera shy to camera active. Since, I joined steemit, I can’t even count the number of pictures I’ve taken. The difficult part is taking pictures in public. I get so shy doing it, with all the harsh faces staring at you, as if you don’t have something better to do with your time. I hide to take most of this public pictures or I sit in a very comfortable place and I zoom out with my phone camera to take the picture. That’s actually one of my main reasons I hardly participate in the photo contest on Steemit.
Show us two recent pictures you took and tell us about them. |

This are two recent pictures I’ve taken. The first one is my friend on his inter house sports day. I am even yet to do a full post on how the event went. This is actually one of their practice sessions before the main event was that held last week Friday. My small friend didn’t participate. When all his mates were marching and participating in various sports, he came to ask the police men on duty to give him his gun, that he wants to check something. Till now, I’m still wondering what he wants to check in a gun…lol.
Finally got the chance to ask him his name and his name is Xander. When he grows up, he will become “Alexander the Great”. We all know his story, how he was a great military strategist. So, we shouldn’t be surprised if he asks the police men on duty for their gun… Nobody knows, he might be a soldier in the future to fight for his mum country or his dad’s country.
Tell us the benefits of adding pictures to our steemit posts. |

- When you add pictures to steemit post, it helps convey the message you’re trying to put out there, properly and attracts people to even read the post. For instance, you are writing a dirge or a sad poem, to convey your emotions, a sad picture will fit in. The reader will know what’s going through your mind at the moment.
- Pictures have its own way of beautifying a post. A lot of people, need pictures to read a post completely to the ending except it’s an interesting story that can really capture readers audience. Remember there’s a reason movies sells more than novels.
- Imagine making a steemit post that is very complicated or hard to understand. A picture will be the best thing to explain whatever science or experiment you’re trying to explain.
