Routine can be the worst enemy of a man, it destroys you from the inside making you feel like you are an empty vessel. Did you ever have a routine? No matter if it was healthy or bad, when it´s a long time we start to feel tired from it, it makes us sick. Everyone had a routine once or they are experimenting one now, this is more likely since we are in quarantine now, surely there is a lot of people sick of not going outside anymore. Well, this is the story of a man who got what he wanted but he had to go through and endless routine which was destroying him little by little, until he couldn´t take it anymore.
First of all, I´d like to mention that I didn´t want to watch Nobody, or maybe it´s better to say I wasn´t that excited to watch it, I mean, I was supposed to watch it a few months ago but always managed to find an excuse and not doing it, my reason was basically the promotional post of it which seemed to me very generic, no matter how times I wanted to change my mind, it looked to me like a Jhon Wick copy-paste from the outside and in the end I can say I was wrong and I´m actually happy about that, don´t judge a book by its cover I guess.
Like I said before, this is the story of a man who in order to get what he wanted he had to get a boring routine that little by little was eating him from inside. The protagonist is a man who had a dangerous life before, he was something like a professional killer who was recruited by the government and let me tell you he was the best at what he had to do,
indeed, he was a killing machine if you get my meaning, but in the end he wanted a normal life with his wife and kids which is normal, so he got rid of that kind of life. He did enjoy being that way but he was stucked then in a endless routine which basically destroyed him, besides of that he is having issues with his wife and son too.
My first impression watching Nobody was the amazing action sequences it has, even for someone like me, watching them was so excting, it kinda reminded me of Jhon Wick but in the end it manages to be its own thing, it has a lot of blood too but not at the level of being something gore per se, even if I liked them, I have to admit they feel wather exagereted from time to time. Besides that, I think Nobody has nothing left to offer, once you cool your head, you´ll see there is no interesting character besides the protagonist, the family being an important reason of the protagonist behaviour is not important at all, there is even someone that you could say it´s the antagonist or villan but he´s so forgettable that you won´t miss him so much.
Nobody is the story of a man descending to madness because of the routine until he manages to do what wanted to do since the first time ever, it´s not boring to watch thanks to the great action sequences and the dilemma the protagonist is going through is interesting but when you think about it that´s the only thing Nobody stands out, sure I liked the film but it wasn´t a life-changing experience, what I´m trying to say is that it´s doesn´t stand too much to me but I´m sastified anyways, it was way better that I was expecting and that´s enough, you know, every movie doesn´t have to be something amazing, I mean, it can be something entertaining and that is good too. If you ever feel like you are in a bad routine that is making you unhappy you should get out of there, if it´s something you can´t leave then try changing a little bit some of your habits, following a bad routine can be exhausting for the mind and body, it can affect you emotionally so becareful with that, I think this message from the movie is cool and you should not ignore it.
