Flash Contest: Building Heroes by @elfmyselfandi - Frost The Swedish Shieldmaiden

Frost is a Swedish Shieldmaiden and while her life started in a village is not far from the legendary forest surrounding Uppsala she soon travelled north with her ship "The Screaming Goat".

Most Vikings from Sweden ventured, to both plunder and trade along the Baltic coast and the rivers that stretched deep into present-day Russia. They travelled as far as the Black and Caspian Seas, where they developed trading links with the Byzantine Empire and the Arab kingdoms. The Danish and Norwegian Vikings ventured to what we today know as England, Ireland, Greenland & Iceland etc.
But Frost, she set sails and sailed north along the coast of what now is known as Sweden. In the far north by the Arctic Circle, she found an ancient city where she settled and used it as a basecamp for her adventures.

She is somewhat vertically challenged and a lot smaller than your standard Shieldmaiden but what she lacks in height she makes up for in spunk. She prefers to be barefoot, the ground beath your feet will let you know its secrets. Her pants are made from reindeer leather coloured a burgundy red - soft but durable. She won't wear her armour unless absolutely necessary and most often just use a minimal top.

On her adventures, she encounters Godesses and Gods, monsters and all sorts of magical creatures from Swedish, Sami and Finnish folklore.
