This was the most inspiring and touching documentary I have ever watched. I was on the verge of tears several times.
This story of working-class/middle-class women standing up against entrenched government officials and fighting to represent their people filled me with hope. Even though only Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was the only candidate that succeeded in winning the seat she was running for, I have never felt more moved to take action for my country. I assumed that I couldn't do anything to change the system but these four women that the documentary focused on showed me that I was wrong. If we have people and passion and perseverance, we can accomplish anything. That's what I took away from this documentary.
I have read reviews that criticized this movie for being democratic propaganda, but I don't think that's true. There are grassroots movements in both the Republican and Democratic parties. This should just be viewed as a story about four women taking action because they have had enough. I don't think you have to agree with their policies and what they support to enjoy and be inspired by this. Watching everyday citizens care enough to do something about it is not partisan, it's something that everyone can and should admire and aspire to do. I give this documentary a five out of five and you will thank yourself for watching this.
