Night fall comes like a dreaded disease.
Piecing through the pore of a healthy body and ravaging it beyond repairs.
A murderer’s hand
Hiding in the shadows
Clasping that dagger in his hand and stricken down a helpless victim.
Yes I am the victim
I am cornered every night in the streets.
I am frightened by the fear being more afraid at my timid heart. In such helplessness I languish.
Man has indeed seized to be man
Man became a beast
Man also became a prey
And I am the pray
I am the quarry to be run down by the marauding beast
Let’s loose by this cruel night fall from his cage if death
Where exactly is my refuge
Where can I be safe
Not in my matchbox house
Where I barricaded myself against night fall
I tremble at his crunching footstep
I quake at his defending knock on my door
Open up!barks like a stray dog
Tasty for my blood
Night fall you are really our mortal enemy
But why were you even created
Why it be daytime forever so our sorrowed hearts can find peace
Thanks for reading.
