My future activity on Steemit

in hive-111825 •  3 years ago  (edited)

Improving my activity

I'm already four months on Steemit. Since then I finished my Newcomers' tutorial, made several numbers of 'Steemit Weekly' newspaper, promoted steemit in social media, became a moderator in two communities, and participated in hundreds of contests.

I was writing very random content though, which, I believe, created some glass ceiling in followers number. The user who writes about everything may not be able to create such a strong boundary with his followers as while writing about one or two things only, but becoming a specialist. That is why I decided to regulate myself a bit in my activity and focus on the things I love the most.

I am going to write about the culture and permaculture. That still is not a narrow subject selection - it allows me to interest in my content with many different users and, at the same time, organize my work a bit. I prepared some hashtags and covers of different thematic blocks. That way my content will be easier to find on the wall or on my profile (i.e. person interested in permaculture posts, but not much into my reviews or articles, can easily find the content they like with fast scrolling my profile). A hashtag that is dedicated only to my works will help in a quick search of the publications.

The project is long-term and... challenging. It assumes that I will be writing four posts every day, which means at least 8-9 hours daily everyday. I believe it's achievable, but if it will be too time-consuming, after some time I may want to edit my plans a bit and lower the number of publications.

Besides writing, I will continue upvoting the high-quality content of other steemians, using 20% of my voting power every day and I will be writing the comments. My activity will be focused on the communities I will be writing in. I.e. if on Monday I will be publishing my posts on "Steem Skillshare", "Steem BRU", "writing and reviews" and "scout", I will comment and upvote with 50%VP 5 posts in each community of those. Additionally, every day I will comment on 5 "Achievement 1" posts, with welcoming messages and offer help in answering any questions steem related.

Movie review

Let's start with the culture. Every day I will be publishing the review of the selected movie. I love cinematography, not only the mainstream, Hollywood production but also South American, European, and Asian movies. While I was studying Social and Cultural Animation at Silesian University, one of the subjects I have had for four years was the History of Cinematography. My interests focused on surrealism in cinematography, but I believe I can entertain you with the reviews of the mainstream, American movies, as well as share with you some of the titles rewarded in the most important Movie Festivals (Berlinale, Festival in Venice) or even describe some of the movies which deserve Golden Raspberry Award, which is given to the worst movies ever created.

Book review

I do read a lot, my studies included the history of literature but besides that, this activity simply gives me plenty of joy. Reading the book takes more time than watching the movie, so my Book reviews cannot be published daily because quickly I would realize I don't have more things to write about. I do have plenty of books that I already read and I am ready to write their review, so I can publish the reviews three times per week. I assume that may change and after approximately one year, when I will finish writing about the books I have read in the past, I may reduce it to one or two publications per week.

Polish culture

The Polish community on Steemit is very small. Hopefully, someday, when I will gain enough SP and when I will be able to visit Poland to promote the platform there, it will change. Before it will happen, I feel I'm one of the very few people here who can share some interesting facts about Polish culture with all of you. I already started to write about the local legends on Steemit. I'm going to write about the traditional music, dances, food, rites, believes, history and everything else that I believe may interest you. I will do my best to share with you the beauty of my culture, by writing interesting publications three times per week.

LATAM news

As some of you already know, I'm Polish living in Argentina. Before I was living for few years in Chile. My culture is a mixture of the habits, rites, and traditions from Europe and South America and I feel proud of being a citizen of both that part of the world. With "Polish Culture" publications, I am going to share with every steemian some information about the European part of my soul. I may not feel the right person to write detailed posts about South American traditions, surely there is plenty of users who has better knowledge about that kind of thing. What I may do is to make a weekly review of some Latin American websites and newspapers and prepare a news shortcut - "LATAM news". That way people from different parts of the world, by reading one post per week, may get common knowledge about the most important events from South America.

LGBTQ+

As a polyamorist and gay, a big part of my cultural identity is related to the LGBT culture. Once per week I am going to share some LGBT news, guides, information, or articles in the LGBT community. In the future, with the permission of the current owner of the community, I am willing to resurrect it and be more active there. Before it will happen (if it will happen at all), I will be using this community more as the personal blog - I am the only active user there. I believe that my publications of mine may be intriguing for many steemians, no matter how do they identify.

Articles

I do love to write some reportage from time to time. It's the most challenging and time-consuming way of writing which requires plenty of research and many hours of work, but I believe it's worth it. I will be writing about the things related to my interests and the interests of my followers: permaculture, global warming, ecology, nature, politics, culture, ethnography, human rights, traditions et cetera. Ideally, If I would be able to publish two articles weekly, but the quality is more important for me than the quantity, so if I will not be able to write the article on time, I'd rather skip publishing it than share it with you low quality content.

Permaculture

Permaculture is my most ambitious project. I am and will continue sharing with you the highest quality content with some useful tips about producing food and/or becoming possibly most self-sufficient. Preparing each lesson takes me a lot of time and requires studying many books, websites, checking notes which I have made while working on permaculture farms around the world. Everyone who is working with food production will surely find something for themselves there. No matter if you are having a huge agriculture farm or just a tiny garden next to your home. Being a mini permaculturist is possible even while living in an apartment.

Into the Wild

Did you know that for one year I was homeless by the choice? I was living in a tent, traveling with my boyfriends on the bicycle, enjoying the freedom of living in nature. In the articles from the "Into the Wild" series, I would like to share with you some interesting things I have learned during this trip - how to find the perfect place for camping? What plants you can find on the way are edible? How to take care of your hygiene in the middle of the dry pampa? If you are curious what are the answers to those questions, feel free to follow me

Recipe

I do love cooking and I believe creativity in the kitchen is one of the skills which can be included in permaculture, as the subject in general. Why produce any food if we would not know how to cook something of it? My recipes will include plenty of vegetarian meals, sometimes something with the chicken, very rarely the red meal, as I am not eating it more often than once per month. Besides traditional recipes, you will learn how to make your self-products from me. There is no need to buy corn or beans in cans, you can make your own. You can make your bread, ketchup, mayo, pasta, tomato concentrate... even oil and sugar! Intrigued? Great, follow me for more details.

Promotion

It's a bit out of my culture and permaculture interests but as we all know, there is no future for Steemit without proper promotion of the platform. I am going to prepare some publications promotion-related ones once per week. It will include posts about power-ups, making conversations with friends and inviting them to join Steemit, preparing some flyers, and sharing them with others in Rosario... I am considering also making some videos in Polish that will explain what is Steemit and how to join us, so I can start the promotion of the platform in my native country.

My power-up plans include becoming a double dolphin until the end of the year and an orca until 2024. I am powering up approximately 50% of my total income.

The Diary Game

I'm not writing the Diary Game posts regularly anymore. I am willing to write the entry from time to time but only when something exciting will happen to me or when I will have some intriguing thoughts which I would like to share with you but which will not be advanced enough to dedicate the whole article. My Diary Game posts will be published irregularly, it's impossible to say exactly what day you can expect them.

Report

Currently, I am the moderator of two communities: Steem Skillshare and Steem LGTBIQ+. The second one is dead and I don't have the tools to work on resurrecting it again (although, as I said before, I am willing to do it in the future). I am working hard in Steem Skillshare though, doing my best to make the community grow fast and be as interesting for the users, as possible. Every week, on Sunday, I am preparing the report with my moderator activities.

WOW!!! Great post and thanks for sharing your plans with the community. Though I am pretty new to this platform, but your post gives readers an idea how to plan their activity on the platform in a meaningful way. And I 100% agree that one should focus on specific topics to write on, rather than trying to cover various areas. A selected few topics will achieve focused writing and better quality of content, and that's what it is all about. Your post is a good guide for newcomers who are still trying to figure out what Steemit is about and what they should do to prove themselves on this platform. Very informative.

Thank you for your comment!

At first, I would recommend newcomers to finish the tutorial in Newcomers' Community and write in Steemit Nursery where everyone learns how to not make any mistakes.

For the second step, I think the best is to write the Diary Game in a selected favorite community and participate in multiple contests (you will find them on the lists prepared daily by @disconnect ). That will help you to gain some money and SP faster.

Finally, when your SP is high enough, I believe it's good to specialize in something. Followers who share interests with us are more probable to visit our profile regularly and it's easier to interact with them.

I'm not a specialist, but that's how I see it :)

Once again - thank you for your comment. I'm very glad you read my post. Wishing you all the best. Good luck on Steemit!

God sharing brother...awesome

Nice planning for future..

Thank you. Plenty of work but I'd be very satisfied if I could make my plans come true

jesteście polakiem! co za miła niespodzianka)))

Na emigracji, ale tak - jestem Polakiem :)

mój pradziadek był Polakiem)))

Ekstra!

Piękny kraj, cudowni ludzie i przepyszne jedzenie :))

Wow, this is a hell of a planning!!
And I've got to say... man, three posts per day, that's seriously hard work!!
Glad to have you here in writing & reviews sharing with us, it's always great to have users like you that bring a lot of value!
Have a nice day, friend!! :)

Yes, it's challenging as hell... :D

I will do my best to make it work but if it will be too time-consuming, I'll probably edit my plans after a month or two :) Hopefully, I will not have to do that :)

Wishing you a marvelous day, my dear friend!

Wow, you have great plans, I hope everything is fruitful for you .. You always write good valuable writings that will always be welcome!

#affable

Thank you, my friend! It's heartwarming to read such nice words.

Great initiative! I hope to read many of its contents here, as they are always wonderful.

Thank you! I appreciate your comment and I'm glad I'm having you as the reader of my content!

It will be an honor and a big pleasure to write in your community and share with you my thoughts and experiences. I enjoy also reading posts of other users published in the community. I can learn a lot from them.

You have achieved a high position on steemit within a short period, Congratulations.

Thank you. I will do my best to continue hard work and investing in my SP. I am dreaming to become an orca or maybe even a whale someday. It would be marvelous to be able to help other steemians earn the money by curating them with 5, 10, or even 15 USD

Informative post

Hello @papi.mati, it is amazing the way you have organized your time. Apart from the Skillshare posts you publish, I wish I could have learnt this organizing skill from you.

Keep up your good work. Wishing you all the success.

Thank you, my good friend. Plans which I have made are challenging, but I'm willing to keep it up as long as possible :)

I'm glad you appreciate my work - wishing you all the best as well!

Hello friend @papi.mati, I agree that the plans are challenging. But with such detailed plan and self-motivation like you have - the success is certain.

@papi.mati, great to know that you love cooking, i would love to know some of your delicacies. I hope you will share with us.

The only thing which I love more than cooking is eating :) I'll gladly share my recipes and learn new things from other users :)
