CLAIMING TO BE A SAVIOR

Historically, the fact that those who claim to be saviors in troubled situations has made more people suffer than when there are no historically proven saviors. Problems don’t kill people, but rescuers who promise to solve problems actually kill people. Paradoxically, rescuers who are ready to face the violence allegedly caused by the problematic situation even become gangsters.

Why?

The easiest way to understand all of this is to understand the resulting phenomena the same way they were originally.

If the result that is revealed is violence, then the beginning is also violence.

The history of this violence unfolds as follows.

Someone has experienced violence. And then you feel embarrassed. I feel like I've been through this because I'm not good enough and I'm not good enough. If I were a strong being, I don't think I would experience violence if I became a handsome being.

Individuals who previously experienced a sense of inferiority to violence are now trying to develop their competence. We try to develop superior capabilities by mobilizing all available materials. As Adler well explains, it is a picture of how the sense of inferiority that is formed within a person develops in the direction of developing a sense of superiority.

The pursuit of superiority is the pursuit of power. This is a primitive trait. He is blind because he is primitive. The individual clings blindly to what is judged to be the most powerful of his powers. And the material was finally found.

Not money, intelligence, physical attractiveness, physical strength, popularity, or fame. Such materials are often subject to personal limitations. Instead, we need a force that is more durable, more universal, more permanent, and nearly indestructible.

Namely morality and ethics.

An individual suffering from low self-esteem finds a successful moral and ethical solution to this problem of how to guarantee his superiority at all times. In particular, in Korean society, the subject matter of morality and ethics has absolute power. Be it presidents, famous celebrities, sports stars, or anyone else with any kind of power, if they were branded immoral, they would lose all prestige and be expelled. It seems that morality and ethics are clearly upheld by a force that is stronger than any other.

In addition, this moral and ethical material is material that is relatively easy to obtain without too much and vague effort such as raising the body, making money, doing plastic surgery, going to a good school, and getting a good job.

Very simple. All you have to do is say things that pretend to be moral and ethical. Those were the only words that needed to be expressed to more people. And you can hide your real life from people, who may be judged immoral or unethical.

What is the basis for our generous moral evaluation of certain celebrities on TV, saying, "Wow, that guy is a really nice person. He's grown up really well. He's a real person."

Because he talks like that.

Because sometimes they put on facial expressions like that, write books like that, and do activities like that.

But most of them are just words.

His moral and ethical language exposed in the media is almost the only criterion by which he is morally evaluated.
