Born to Wear a Crown... Inspired Poetry

in hive-111825 •  3 years ago

So recently, I have been recruiting people around me to Steemit again. One of these new Steemians which I have successfully brought in is the talented @fadekemie...

In this post, she is my muse as I am inspired by both the meaning of her name (Fadekemi), and the awesome pictures which she took, and have given me consent to use here.

Before, I go on to the poetry, here is an insight into the inspiration behind it...

Fadekemie (Pronounced far-day-ke-me) in Yoruba means "Use a Crown to Pamper Me"

You will understand the rest simply from the pictures...

Please enjoy the read... It's a Sonnet, written for a Black Queen...

She is beautiful, black and bold,
A picture of a shooting star..
Her clear skin, is a mix of gold,
Light Caramel, and a little tar...

She holds fire, in her narrow eyes,
But she's an angel, oh when she smiles..
And her garment, weaved of royal thread,
And only a crown, could adorn her head...

I could pay homage, to the ground she walks,
Or write a sonnet, for each time she talks...
But all of these, would be but empty words,
For a goddess, only belongs with a god...

And any mere mortal, who even craves a spark...
Would only be winking, to a Queen in the dark...

Here are some more awesome pictures, with the consent of course, of our muse...
