Mystery Stories Contest - My Entry

Hello fellow Steemit users. I would like to entertain you today with a mystery story I came up with.

It was late at night night. The party at my house was about to be concluded. My parents were away for two days and had gone to my grandparents' place. Seeing this as a great opportunity, my friends and I had decided to host a party at my place. As it was starting to get midnight, people started leaving. There were some final pictures we took from my phone. Then after some goodbyes, everyone left except two of my friends. They stayed back and helped me clean my house. After putting the trash out and cleaning every room, they were also gone.
The place suddenly felt very quiet as just a while ago there was music and noises everywhere. I was tired after all that partying so I decided to go to bed after checking the locks and windows. When I was finished , I headed up the stairs to my room. Just then, I heard water running from the kitchen. I was a bit surprised but I thought that maybe I missed it, so i went downstairs and closed it. When I walked past the living room I saw the television there was on. I thought that maybe one of my friends left it switched on. I switched it off.
Suddenly, I heard something break upstairs. I rushed over to my room. The lamp on my study table, next to the window had fallen. I thought that maybe the wind from the open window had made the curtain knock the lamp. It was already two o'clock and I was feeling sleepy. I picked up the lamp, locked my room from the inside and went to sleep.
The next day, I woke up to my friend's call in the morning, asking me to send the pictures I had on my phone. I opened my phone to select the pictures from the camera folder to send him. The very next moment I dropped the phone on the floor and shivers ran down my body as to my horror I found that the recent picture clicked on my phone, after the party, was of me sleeping in my room the previous night !
