Contest: That Unbearable Neighbor

Hi friends, this is a really funny and interesting contest topic and yes I've had an unbearable neighbor and maybe some of you friends may also have had unbearable neighbors. But regardless of how intense a situation with a neighbor may be it is important for us to strive to forge peace even if it means minding our business for the period you'll be living in a particular area.

we would like to know if:

1.- Have you ever had that unbearable neighbor?

Yes, like I said before I've practically lived for ten years with an unbearable neighbor before we finally built our own house as a family. It was the children of my neighbor that usually made trouble with my siblings and I, we were all young then and so I wouldn't count it on them, infact thinking of the scenarios I experienced makes me laugh these days because it's all in the past but it definitely wasn't funny when it happened.

2.- Can you share with us an anecdote that supports the previous answer?

I loved planting when i was young, there was a small plot of land in the middle of the rented apartment my family stayed with the unbearable neighbors 😅 I would plant crops like maize, pawpaw, and once even tried planting an apple tree, I was told that it would take years to grow, and I would end up leaving the apartment before it matures and the annoying neighbors will have to eat the fruit of my labour, besides, our the house owner would not appreciate that in his building so I aborted the plan.
Then I decided to plant lots of maize and pawpaw and it took a few months to mature. I would weed around the small plot everyday, water it and felt so good seeing it grow taller than me. During the harvesting season, one day the neighbors children ran and literally uprooted the plants, dug it out and threw the produce away leaving the entire place in shamble, I was really annoyed when I saw that and I reported the issue to their parents but they never believed and thought we were just expressing our hatred and that made me even more annoyed 😅

3.- What has been your greatest revenge on that unbearable neighbor?

To me, revenge is best done when it comes naturally and not forced or initiated by me. A year passed and a new neighbor packed in. They saw the empty plot and decided to plant. The annoying children thought I planted the produce and came again during the harvesting period to perform their yearly habit of uprooting and throwing away. Unfortunately for them, they were caught by the lady who planted them and got several punishments for such act. That was the last time it ever happened.

4.- Are you an unbearable neighbor and why do you think you are?

I don't think I'm an unbearable neighbor. I try to stay on my lane and not look for trouble, I make peace when necessary and look for ways to amend a situation instead of igniting a problem.
When we finally packed out to our own house, our neighbors testified we will be genuinely missed and that brought us joy.

5.- Do you know any Steemian neighbor who has been unbearable? (You don't need to tell their username, but we would love to know the reasons that make them unbearable.

🤣 I don't know any steemian neighbor that has been unbearable. All the Steemians I've come in contact with physically or virtually have always demonstrated some acts of kindness, especially their original and sincere comments on most of my posts and I appreciate them!
