The country's exchange situation.

The contest What I Can Buy with $1 is very interesting and I would like to share my thoughts on it. Firstly based on the above question, I would like to share the exchange rate of $1 to my local currency which is the Naira.

From the above image based on the exchange platform I'm using for my trade, you will notice that the equivalent of $1 to Naira is 1,605 which means that $1 = ₦1,605.

This is very high and this is because the currency of my country has lost its value over time. After all, this amount can only get one liter of fuel as it stands now in the country. No wonder transportation has become so expensive.

What did they do with the last dollar they had in their pocket?

The last $1 I had in my pocket was the money I used to buy a liter of fuel while taking a straw around my locality. I had this bike from my father but there was not enough fuel in hence he said if I wanted to take it out I should ensure I put at least a liter of fuel in it because the one inside would not be enough for me.

When I heard that, I decided to use the last $1 which is equivalent to ₦1,605 to buy just a liter of the fuel since I don't want the Nike to stop at the road while riding. So that was what I did with the last $1 I had in my pocket.

Do you think it is better to have digital than physical money?

In a country like Nigeria where we are still struggling with technology I think the best money one should have is physical money because it is accepted anywhere here in this country. This is not the same for digital money as many people don't accept it.

I remember recently when I went to buy clothes and because I didn't have physical cash I had to transfer the money to the seller the seller saw the transaction I did but because he didn't get an alert he didn't allow me to go with the products I bought.

I waited for many hours then I left because the man didn't see the alert. I dropped my number with him and told him to call me when he saw the alert. It was later in the night that he called me telling me he had seen the alert.

I had to spend another transport to the place to pick up the things and also you see how everything was delayed and I couldn't go back with the things I bought. If it was physical money I could have gone back with everything.

I want to invite @josepha, @simonnwigwe, and @bonaventure24, to join the contest in this community and share their entry participation.

Hello
Thanks for participating
Nigeria and Venezuela (my country) are similar in terms of the value of the currency in relation to the dollar, only in my country obtaining physical money is not so simple, so we must go through the adventure of transfers.

I see that in other countries going to an ATM or a bank is simple, in my country very few ATMs dispense cash.
