Steemit Engagement Challenge Season8 Week1: What is the value of life?

Hello friends,

In this week I saw many of you have expressed your ideas about the value of life and the death penalty. So I also have my set of ideas to share with you. Being grateful for the community I would like to start my post.

What do you think about the death penalty, do you agree or disagree? Explain why?

Life is a destination where we come live and we will have to go one day. But until death we have rights. One of those fundamental rights is the right to life. Every one of us has the right to live. But some people don't understand the value of life and the right to life. That is why when misunderstandings and arguments happen they try to kill each other and there are so many murder cases and crimes happening in the world due to this unawareness of the value of life for everyone.

The death penalty is a punishment entitled by the law for offenses like destroy of life by another. So that the offender will get a punishment that is equal to the offense he did. Imprisonment for a certain period of time, imprisonment for life time and death penalty are the punishments given to offences.

I agree that every person has the right to live but if a person does not care of ones right to live and it a person doesnot value another ones life then he should be given the death penalty so that the others will understand the punishment and the murders, crimes will be decreased.

When someone is getting punished the other one will stop doi g the same offence again.

Is this type of penalty part of the law in your country? Do you think it should be implemented?

In our country there was the death penalty since ancient kings eras. By the time some present politicians have gone against the death penalty and some [residents have removed the death penalty. But at present the death penalty is implemented.

It should be implemented otherwise there is no control over the destruction of life. The public should be controlled by the law. The politicians do these offenses which lead to the death penalty is why they object the implementation of death penalty. they know that their lives will be over too.

At the moment the death penalty implementation is under discussion so it will be implemented so soon.

Do you know of any particular case of death penalty in your country or any other country? Can you share it?

A very notable and a famous death penalty case in Srilanka was the murder of the Fourth Prime minister of Srilanka Mr. S.W.R.D. Bandaranayake. He was killed by a person dressed like a monk. This monk was with the prime minister from the beginning as he wanted to kill him with a good plan.

The newspaper articles say that the monk was caught and imprisoned. Late the judgment said to implement the death penalty for the monk. The monk has given the robes two days before the death penalty and the day before the death penalty he has got baptized by an Anglican priest.

The death penalty is a very complicated topic to research and explain. So I think this will be enough for today. Thank you for reading my post. Have a good day friends.
