The story of tragedy 9/11

Rebecca, a 35-year-old single mother, takes care of her 4-year-old child and her father at home while she works as a linen manager at a five-star hotel. Rebecca's husband was also worked in the same hotel, but he died suddenly of heart failure just two years ago.

Rebecca's mother, Janis Beatty, a government official, arrived in the building of the World Trade Centre, Twin Towers in New York City, USA at 8.30 am on September 11, 2001, to attend an important meeting.

The meeting began at 8:45 am but within two minutes later there was a huge explosion in the structure. The building then collapsed like a house of cards, killing thousands, and the news was shown on television around the world.

When Rebecca's father saw the news on television, he fell down in grief.

Rebecca, who was only 15 at that time and studing high school at the time, she was taking classes when tragedy struck, and learned that her mother had died in the World Trade Center Twin Towers attack.

As soon as he came home from school, he took care of his father with the help of his neighbors. Since this incident, she has taken very good care of her father and was determined to one day become successful and fulfill all his father's wishes. For this reason, he earned a degree in hotel management.

She entered into a love marriage with a classmate but sadly the relationship lasted only six years and her husband passed away.

Rebecca became very bold and never showed her grief to anyone as now she was the only support of her son and father.

Because the tragedy happened in another country and the remains could not be properly identified, the US government had the names of those who died there engraved on the memorial stone.


It had been 20 years since Rebecca's mother passed away. Every year in America, the community and the government organize a peace prayer program for the peace of the souls of the dead.

To pray for the repose of his wife, Rebecca's father had a great desire to one day join the Twin Towers prayer group there.

This wish was also known to Rebecca, but due to her busy work schedule and not yet getting over her own pain, she was yet to fulfill her father's wish.

The second week of August was going on and one day he got the news that his father was suffering from Alzheimer's brain disease, in this disease the memory of the man starts getting weak, and he starts forgetting everything.

The doctor told Rebecca that now your father is close to 65 years of age, so his disease will not be completely cured and that is why he has started going into mental depression.


Hearing this, Rebecca decided at the same time that she would definitely fulfill her father's last wish. And taking this decision, she immediately booked two return air tickets to New York for the month of September.

On September 11, she took her father to the peace meeting near the Twin Towers, which his father was overjoyed to arrive at. He was moved to see his wife's name written on the inscription.


His whole body shuddered, he recalled the incident and started running his fingers over the name of his wife written on the inscription.

Rebecca also hugged her father that day and wept bitterly remembering her mother.

Then his father got up from the prayer meeting and sat down on an iron chair in a nearby park and started looking at some of his old family pictures.
