INTRODUCTION
Greetings to all members of this group, it's one of you, @destinedhanik. I'm happy to be here. I love this contest by @muhammad-ahmad which gives us the opportunity to talk about our favourite book. So I'll be talking about my favourite book and I hope you learn some lessons from it.
THE VALUE OF BOOKS
• Books makes us stay informed, it makes us know things we wouldn't have known if we didn't read and even takes is to places we wouldn't have dreamed going to.
• Books improves our writing and communication skills.
• It improves our memories and mental health.
• It makes us ready for any position we find ourselves, after all it is said that readers are leaders.
What is your favourite book?
A favourite is something you love and chose amongst other things. So a favourite book is one in which I love and enjoy reading over and over again and it is filled with lessons.
I read lots of books made up of different genres like Romance, motivational, crime, thrillers, Religion, etc but I have one which is my favourite.
My favourite book is titled "You have a brain" by Ben Carson. I have my reason for choosing this book as my favourite.
The book, "You have a brain" is an autobiography of Ben Carson. In it, he shares his experiences and the reason for this so so that people can learn, especially teenagers and to help people know that whatever they set their mind to do, they can achieve it despite the negative comments from others. This book also makes people know that their background doesn't matter when it comes to achievement in life.
Tell us the thing why you like this book ?
I love this book for so many reasons.
• First, the author through his experience showed that life doesn't come easy, but we can decide our paths.
• Another reason I love this book so much is the God factor in the book. The author did not leave God out of anything he did in the book. Right from a young age, his mother taught him how to get directed by God in his ways, by showing an example. He was called a dummy in school and he never loved reading until his mother said she will pray to God to direct her on how to make him read.
• I also loved the book because it is directed to teenagers. This means that whatever teenagers are going through, the author understands because he went through the same thing and came out successful.
• This book teaches us how to think big, how to use our talent and what we have passion for to chose our careers.
• "You have a brain" teaches us how to overcome negative habits so it doesn't become an obstacle that will crumble your future.
Why are you recommending this book to others? Any 2 Reasons?
I would recommend this book to everyone especially teenagers and youth for the following reasons:
• It serves as a guide to troubled teenagers who are confused on the path to chose for their future career.
• It helps us know why we fail in some areas, and how we are to tackle and overcome it. The author was always called a dummy because he usually failed in his class, until he found a way to overcome that, and he realized he was one of the smartest.
• This book is what I would recommend because it teaches that whatever action we take, we have to face the result in future as all actions have consequences.
• This book teaches that God answers prayers, if we are sincere about what we want and if we want Him to direct us.

I have one of Ben Carson's books (The Gifted Hands)in my library but to be sincere I haven't been able to complete the reading of the book. The lessons you've learnt from this book shows that this book of his is quite rich. But how long did you take to complete the book?
