General Comment Party: WK08

Talking about giving up, I am one of those who follows the dues process to the very last. Except I have no interest in a thing before I walk away.

A big question is, should we hold on to unprofitable pursuits? Or is everything worth giving in? To answer the question, not everything should be given 100% of our time in the name of consistency.

Imagine I was called for an interview where we interviewed the same day from oral to written and from written to meeting the top officials, to meeting the CEO, and finally we were given another lecture/training.

From there, we were asked to pay for a licence for operation. I left my house since 7 o'clock in the morning till it was 3pm. No break, no snacks offered. They were about to scam us of our hard-earned money.

I saw it coming, others left at the second stage of the interview, but I held on so that I could get to the end. By the time I saw their body language, I knew they were scammers. I jilted them as well. I told them I was going to my house to get money, and they asked me if they could send an escort. I said no, that my house was far.

That's how I gave up and refused to get to the end of the job interview. I needed a job badly as a fresh graduate, and then I met the scammers. At that point, I had to give up to be safe.

Don't give up, it's not over. Nevertheless, hold on to something profitable and not something you'll regret the next moment.

I'm inviting
