Netflix Original Series "The Liberator" - Great Story, Awesome Production!
The Liberator takes place during World War II where maverick U.S. Army officer Felix Sparks and the 157th Infantry Regiment fought for over five hundred days alongside the Allied forces in Italy.
Announced in November 2018, the miniseries' production would be handled by A&E Studios and Unique Features with animation services by Atlanta-based studio School of Humans.
On Rotten Tomatoes, the miniseries holds an approval rating of 71% based on 7 reviews, with an average rating of 7.19/10.
Great Story - Based on True Life Events
I must confess, I'm a sucker for War Drama; especially if it's based on true life events.
But since I'm a retired military veteran, I can be easily disappointed if a war story seems unrealistic.
"The Liberator" does not disappoint.
I was delighted by both its realistic portrayal of war and the introspective narrative of the main character ("Felix Sparks").
Great Production
The last time I saw this kind of stylized realistic animation was way back in the cult classic movie "Heavy Metal".
Back then and now, I'm amazed with how you see people and landscapes move like real life, yet never mistake it as animation.
The production of "The Liberator" is definitely top-notch, almost hypnotic.
I recommend this Netflix series for all war, drama, history and animation fans.

Super tip... Thanks I will go and watch it 😁
