The year is 2020 and the whole world is facing a pestilence - if we can call the covid-19 that. It has spread to 47 countries in 60 days, some areas more fatal than others, nonetheless, it's spreading. Before this, we had to deal with the USA assassination of a top Gen in Iran and the world braced for a possible World War III, but while that was going on came the fire in Australia that claimed the lives of thousands of animals in their habitat. This became global news and some used it as a way to push the climate agenda, let's not forget that.
While the world sympathized with Australia and the disaster they were facing, some countries were facing pocket terrorist attacks that never made international news. Now, the coronavirus known as covid-19 is all anyone can talk about, so much so that the flood that hit Ireland didn't get enough coverage, neither did the thunderstorm in Perth, the sandstorm that engulfed the Canary Islands, the widespread flooding in Malawi with four fatalities recorded so far, the floods and mudslides in Colombia or the flood in Jakarta, Indonesia that resulted in more than 60 deaths and more than 175,000 displaced people.
The World Health Organization has some guidelines to staying safe, while we wait for the end?
Too many fatal events happening simultaneously only makes one wonder, is the earth rejecting us? Also, let's not forget the stock market that has been recorded as the worst since the global 2008 financial crisis. With all these events, I wonder if people can effectively have an answer to the 5-year plan they're asked in interviews when surviving the impending epidemic is all people can think about.
