Runt Odel was singing.
She had finally triumphed over Ren du Lot in court, but only because he hadn’t shown up. Her joy at winning soon turned to curiosity. “Where on earth is Ren du Lot?”
Around her neck went her magic scarf. Invisibility cloaked her form. Song emitted from her lips.
It was always like this whenever Runt Odel donned the scarf fashioned from the same cloth that Uranumsia had made her cloak from: she would disappear and begin to sing. Some powerful magic had been woven into that fabric!
Off to Ren du Lot’s she went, to see what she could see while no one could see her. If only she could stop singing!
She spied the lawyer burning papers, ranting out loud as he did so.
“That Rastapopulous!” he wailed. “He’s gotten himself arrested and now I must flee! AND WHAT IS THAT INFERNAL SINGING?!”
All over town, a song could be heard, the singer unseen:
Rennie Doo Doo has lost his way
Off he goes to a new country to stay
Not his first time and not his last
The Count must hear of this superfast
With Ren du Lot gone for good, Runt Odel could arise anew. She hastened to The Count’s.
Runt Odel was singing.
This is my third installment to a growing body of loosely related works originated by @katharsisdrill and his character, Torundel the Shitposter. Others who have joined in the fun, and their characters, are Ren du Lot, the Shit Lawyer by @vcelier, Nordlute, the Shit Sysadmin by @steevc, Mort, The Shit Manager by @slobberchops, Barbara The Count's Ex-wife by @prayzz, and Daphne the definitely not Dilettante by @donnadavisart.
These stories tend to be comprised of exactly 211 words, begin with the main character's name, and begin and end with the same sentence, although some liberties have been taken.
Part One, The Little Shit's Posts
Part Two, Runt Odel and Rabelais
Sounds like a fun writing game! I love how the names are basically anagrams...

It really is fun, although not nearly as easy as it looks. My first ever fan art.
