The weather has turned mild, sitting right around the freezing mark but it must be cold enough in the higher levels for the precipitation came as snow not rain. I am happy about this for the rain would have frozen in the evenings making everything icy and slippery!
Bruno doesn't mind being out in the snow and I looked out to see big fluffy snow flakes falling down and Bruno seeming unconcerned. JJ meanwhile didn't seem to even consider going out while it was snowing!
Bruno Outside in the Snow JJ Remains Indoors Not Too Certain About Going Outdoors
I took the opportunity to catch some photos of these snowy scenes by standing under the porch roof and large overhang by the courtyard. Here's what I captured...
The first two were taken from my covered porch looking towards the hoop house and the sweat lodge.

This next two shots I took standing under the large overhang by the courtyard and the pine meadow behind the house.

Once the snow stopped and I had shoveled off the deck JJ decided he would come out onto the deck having a good stretch on the post.
JJ Having a Good Stretch on the Post
JJ had a look around while Bruno found a stick to chew on in the snow.

JJ didn't last long outside before giving me a longing look then heading for the door.
JJ Gives Me a Look Not Caring for All the Snow
After JJ went indoors Bruno grabbed a stick and we headed off down the lane to see what sort of snowy, wintery scenes we could find.

And he's off - running down the snowy willow lane...
It was delightful to see the snow covered evergreens and snowy line designs on the branches of the deciduous trees!

When we reached the road the clouds were moving in again but there was some lovely snowy scenes to behold and Bruno always like to check the front of our property to see what other dogs have been by.

After capturing a few shots we headed back down our lane towards our home in the pine meadow.
Now you will get a view of all those snowy trees and bushes by our lane, coming from the other direction.

Once we are in our yard, which is surrounded by beautiful snow covered evergreens, Bruno starts leaping at the birds coming to the feeder. I had just topped off the feeder and there were quite a few birds coming in for a feed after the snow.

I called Bruno to the deck and he picks up his favorite log that has become a huge snowball after being rolled around in the sticky deep snow. It must be heavy with all that snow on it but Bruno doesn't seem to care for he was lugging it around for awhile.

It was getting evening and there was an interesting light coming about as the sun began to head towards the horizon.

I looked up above the snowy tree tops to see that interesting light in the clouds.

It was getting darker and the clouds were getting thicker so we headed in to the warm fireplace.

Such a wonderful winter stroll with you for #wednesdaywalk JJ's look on his face, reminded me of Snowapocolypse last winter when Eugene shut down for a week or more. My cat had really never seen snow here, I opened the back sliding door and as usual Sir Obie1Kanobie kitty loves dashing out, well he found out what dashing through the snow meant, he took off and fell into 2 feet of snow, he just froze and gave me that look and had no idea what to do. I wish I had thought to take a photo, priceless our avatars! Bruno is loving life too! Thanks for the walk....

Ya JJ keeps rushing to the door hoping it will be spring but he usually just sticks his nose out and turns around! He wanted to go down in the yard but he really doesn't like walking in the snow!
That must have been quite a shock for your kitty - a great funny cat video!

Wow! That snow land looks so wonderful, story book stuff my friend.
Bruno is certainly a champion dog and you have posted a string of great pictures.
We did the worst thing that you can think of yesterday.
I had to get some ocean waves for my post and we decided to go to a new place, but we didn't think about the weather there as it was 35 degrees Celsius/ 95 Fahrenheit. A real blazing sun, but even worse, we were to walk to the beach trough a very long stretch of scalding and soft white sand dunes. Some blistered feet here today Lol.
Here's a pic of the dunes!
Not joking, as you can see below, the sand must have been about 50 degrees Celsius and we walked it with ordinary shoes on.
Imagine getting your burning feet and lame legs into this lot above.
Bit of course the return walk was waiting for us Lol.
And these are not small sand dunes Lol.

Wow! I saw your post with your photos of the waves but had no idea of what you had to go through to get those shots! It seemed like such a paradise but I guess each climate has it's challenges! I was wondering how you could get photos of such a beautiful beach without any people on it - now I know!

Hahaha, It was indeed an issue to get there my friend and we were totally unprepared for it. But I am of the kind, once started, I simply continue.
The difficulty is to get me started and it has always been a problem in my life.As is the case of Papillon because it took me a year before I started and it's been 20 years on the go.
Now you know why I got the pictures Lol.
Blessings and thank you!

Amazing and overwhelming snow cover there. What extreme conditions. I'm so glad Bruno has a thick coat and doesn't mind.

It is a bit of a winter wonderland but our winters are very long here and after awhile I start longing for those warm summer days. 2 months summer and 5 or 6 months winter!

I loved all these photo of Bruno and JJ. I was struck by how in many of them, Bruno's lovely coat was the splash of color. He's such a handsome boy!

He really co-operated and was being my model for those shots, really making the shots so they were more than just the snow on the trees. Glad you enjoyed them!

Bruno looks like he really enjoyed his walk, how very different your views are during months of snow.
Enjoyed seeing the end of the walk with handsome Bruno posing, trees heavy with snow, light reflecting off the clouds dancing above.
Grand escape from the heat we currently living with.

It is definitely very different climates we have! I wish there was some way we could exchange some heat and cooling! I guess it is a bit of an exchange with our different photos from the opposite sides of the earth!
Glad you enjoyed it!
