She did it again! Ren of @xcountytravelers photographed another barn and sent it to me! This lovely barn is near the Caney River, south of the town of Bartlesville, Oklahoma (US). It is a big barn with many beautiful trees nearby adding much charm to the scene.
As usual, I did some creative processing of her original photo and ended with three different options. This first one is probably my personal favorite, overall:
The following processing lightens the photo substantially and actually allows some of the detail of the barn to be more visible, even if it does mute the lush green color of the tress and grass:
The next version has more intense, almost over-the-top colors. However, when I showed it to Ren, she said: "To be honest, it is how I felt it looked with the sky." It is interesting to note how the camera never seems to capture what we can see with our eyes, and I was glad that this processing gave more of a feeling of how the sky actually looked when she saw it!
The screenshot below, from BING Maps, shows an aerial view with the town of Bartlesville above-center and the barn's location shown with the marker below-center:
And for those interested, here is the original shot Ren sent me, with only a little cropping and clean-up of the edges:
Thank you for sharing this pretty scene, Ren! 50% of the rewards on this post are going to you!
