God had given us the power to choose: yet we must chose wisely.

Good evening dearly beloved brethren of the Christian Fellowship community.
How was your day, I trust that you had a great day at home or perhaps had gone out to meet up with one task or the other.
Tonight, I would love to share a bible lesson on the power of choice and how it affects us as Christians. Happy reading.

This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live. Duet. 30:19, NIV

One of the best gifts which God has given to every man whether a sinner or saved, is the power to choose. Hence, God expects us to choose wisely and not abuse the privilege. That is why God instructed Joshua to call the children of Israel and present this issue with them.

Have you ever wondered why they were two crosses next to Jesus during the crucifixion of our Lord? Or have you asked to know why Jesus was positioned at the centre? Now here's a little suggested attempt I make about it.

Those two crosses symbolizes one of God's greatest gifts, which is the gift of choice. The two criminals have much in common; which is that they we convicted in the same way and manner and condemned to death. In fact they were surrounded by the same crowd and were equally close to Jesus.

Sadly they began with sarcasm and sarcastic comments. Yeah, the both said cruel things to Jesus during the little time the had with Jesus. However, one turned a new leaf by saying 'Jesus, remember me in your kingdom. Jesus Christ too was ready to accept him into the sheep fold by saying to him., 'I tell you the truth, today you shall be with me in paradise', (Luke 23:42-43). While we rejoice at the thief who changed, we dare not to forget the one who didn't

Truth be told is that there are times when God sends thunder and afflictions our way to see whether we would acknowledge him, and they are other time he sends his blessings to lure us. Then there are also times when He decides to send us nothing but silence i.e no utterance or directions cause he trust us to be able to chose wisely.

reconsidering the two thieves crucified with Jesus, one could tell that one made a better choice at their of dying and that very choice was a good one because he was granted the opportunity of having life after dead. Thus, his past mistakes were no more important cause Christ had changed his status and purified him. The other one equally made his own choice but that choice did not occur well because he loss his life and soul.

Dearly beloved, I do not know what you may be going through that may force you to make life decision, but I pray for you that God would lead you to choose wisely in Jesus name, amen.

Attention

Be careful of what you say when you are happy.
Do not take decisions when you are angry
and do not make any promise of anything when you are happy.
