Welcome to my blog once again!
Text: Psalm 69 verse 9(ESV:For zeal for your house has consumed me, and the reproaches of those who reproach you have fallen on me).
Zeal is a tireless devotion for a cause or determination to carry out a task. Why believers find it difficult to win souls into God's kingdom is because the zeal level in evangelism is low.
If we use half the energy or zeal we use to talk about our personal business or half the time we spend to post ungodly things on social media to preach the gospel, the church will be too small to contain the harvest of souls.
We are in a generation were believers treat kingdom business on a second hand basis and see the work of God as a one man affair. Child of God, in that ministry God has planted you to be zealous in winning souls and charges you to kill the mindset of who founded or owns the church. The massage of the kingdom is for all and the church is not any man's private business.
Jehu, anointed by God to conquer nations was extremely zealous in the fight against evil (2kings chapter 10 verse 1). He brought an end to Ahab's victimization of God's people. He fought a just fight and through his hand, the Lord avenged the wicked queen Jezebel.
In 2 Kings chapter 10 verse 23, there was a mass-slaughter of Baal worshippers which was also Jehu's plot. He was a man called and ordained by God to banish evil and establish righteousness in Israel. But all this would not have been possible if he had no zeal.
2 Kings chapter 10 verse 16 Jehu said "come with me, and see my zeal for the lord. It is not enough that you have been called, it is not enough that you are a believer l, it is not even enough to preach the gospel. It is only complete when the lord looks down and approve your zeal because this is a major determiner.
Zeal gives birth to tolerance. This helps you to flow-up and unbeliever or a new convert patiently. Zeal helps you to further in the things of God selflessly. Zeal helps you to wait for your season of manifestation.
Zeal helps you to please God in your service. Be a zealous believer, diligent in God's service and all your aim fixed on advancing God's kingdom without fear or regret.
May the Lord increase your zeal for his work and make you an instrument for kingdom advancement, amen!
Shalom.

"Zeal for your house has consumed me" is applied to Jesus after he cleanses the temple.
The Apostle Paul talks about physical training as a metaphor to describe how we should live as Christians.
(1 Corinthians 9:24-27 NIV) Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. {25} Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. {26} Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. {27} No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.
The athlete trains even when he doesn't feel like it. He gets up in the morning and runs even when it's hot, or it's cold, or it's raining out. In the same way, we should engage in our spiritual disciplines even when we don't feel like it. So we read our Bible daily, we pray daily, we go to church regularly, and we work at growing in obedience regularly. I listen to scripture based Christian music that feeds me spiritually. I sometimes listen to Christian podcasts. My favorite is "Thru The Bible". You can download the entire five year program for free at ttb.org. It's available in over 120 languages.
